It is ran by the Chinese government and the same Q-Anon type people on Facebook also have TikTok accounts, too. That combination of circumstances is bound to make the platform riddled with misinformation.

The worse is Truth Social. They are basically lying to everyone about everything!

Who goes to TikTok or other SNS sites for medical information or anything other than dumb dance videos?

Imagine my shock. A platform controlled by the Chinese and populated by the most simple minded demographic in human history, contains misinformation??

Misinformation is now a hugely overused term.

...as with all social networking platforms.

I don't use TikTok, but even without it- Line and other apps still have these dumb dance videos.

Do women really think we have nothing better to do than just watch them dance?

Medical disinformation is a very diplomatic description of those stupid TikTok challenges, sometimes even leading to deaths if some naive kids copy them in reality.

Few people seem to understand the crucial difference between misinformation (unintentional) and disinformation (deliberate). Disinformation tends to spring from official sources and their mouthpieces more often than not.

The term 'misinformation' is subjective.

Just because the media, elites, big biz, etc tell you something doesn't necessarily mean it's true.
