Speaking is if the company is a unpopular regime answering to a UN Security Council mandate.
The ban TikTok saga proves free nation is always playing catchup to authoritarian statecraft. Hello, it's not just data, it's the seeding of misinformation, political interfefence, commercial misappropriation.....heck there's probably more misinformation on tiktok than useful information.
Ban it already.
I think it says everything that (reportedly) the version of TikTok approved for children in China is vastly different from the one approved for children in countries like the United States. Chinese TikTok only has educational content for children. American TikTok has...everything else (and not in a good way).
I’m not a TikTok user but its content often appears on YouTube. A great amount of content is divisive & not peaceful. I’d like to see as much similar content about China and people's plight there. You aren’t even allowed to get YouTube in China, only WhatsApp and other media connected / controlled by / monitored by the long arms of the Chinese Communist Party
