Hope you like it geronimo2006. I got it from au and they also gave me a free tablet. It's probably too late to get the Gear VR for free but if you have the phone already it is most definitely a no-brainer buy. Cheers.

OK. You've sold me on it PeaceWaarrior. I was thinking about it (still got the S4) and now I'm gonna get myself the new Samsung. Oh. My mistake. I meant Galaxy.

I got an S7 Edge and I have to say, it is the best phone I have ever had the pleasure to use. I know that people are always saying the iPhone is best but in this particular case, the win is definitely Samsung's. Plus the Gear VR that I got with it is just mind-blowing. It will change the way we view entertainment in the near future. Unbelievable!!

Nope. Samsung decided on their own to take their name off of their product in the hopes of making it more locally appealing. Nobody forced them to do so.

Wow. Some people here have no clue about Android phones. One said all Android OS look alike., As opposed to the crappy Apple one that can't let you customize anything.

I bought a zenfone 2 for 27000 outright and MVNO at 2400/month and its works perfectly, and, honestly, what more do we need for a smartphone. Of course the market will fade, its how it works. One day we wake up and say, hmmm do I really need all those apps selling me apps and stuff I don't really need, think I'll go out with out my phone and enjoy life.

All the premium phones should be waterproof and wireless charging-capable by now

If you need multilingual capability iOS is it. I have an Android Lexus 7. It's fast but not as versatile as iOS.

Android and iOS phones just look all the same, inspired flat rectangle with ...the same OS, the whole market is so much inspired that they don't even bother find a name now, they just put a number.

Android phones just don't have the same appeal as iOS ones.

Yup. You can't use the name Samsung in Japan. Only in Japan.
SenseNotSoCommon
As this is Japan, shouldn't this read: Galaxy rewrites playbook?

How much did Samsung pay for this?
