Toyota aiming to bring high-efficiency solar tech to vehicle lineup

Read an article in The Guardian today which purported to show what a few different cities would look like at the end of the century, if there is a 3 degrees Celsius atmospheric temperature increase. Not pretty. About 10% of the world's population of humans will be displaced, most of those in Asia.

While there has been a lot of publicity about the importance of keeping global warming at no more than 1.5 degrees, it looks like we will be facing a 3 degrees increase, if not more, by the end of the century.

Even if there were a magic wand that enabled us to go carbon-neutral overnight, the carbon, methane and other green house gases going into the air today will ensure that temperatures increase for at least another hundred years, maybe much longer than that if the tundra continues to melt, and if the methane hydrates in the ocean continue to melt.

Yes, doom and gloom. I won't be around to see what is going to happen in 2200, but my grandchildren and great-grandchildren might.
