I do not care about Twitch, but as usual it's always the users who gets the short end.

SK used to deliberately slow access to Google Maps. Don't know whether it still does. It's all to leverage SK versions of global apps. They use protectionism and the Korean language to create an (ironically) North Korean style of internet isolation. So the biggest search engine there is Naver, not Google. Easier to hide scandals etc when you do that. Most governments will eventually follow suit as the net gets nationalised within borders.
