Twitter's future uncertain as it faces messy breakup with Musk

In Twitter's position, I would consciously uncouple from Musk in a no fault divorce, and simply go back to developing the platform.

The share price reduction isn't an issue. Shares go up and down. It happens. Having a stock value perceived to be overpriced is no benefit. Having a more realistic stock price, and Musk not owning the platform, isn't a bad outcome for Twitter.

Lawyers being lawyers, they will want to go for the billion, but that would come at the cost of a lot of negative publicity, a legal soap opera and vast legal fees.

Let it go, draw a line under it, and get on with developing Twitter. In the future, more small print to avoid this happening again.
