Apple stealing patents! well I never would of though that was possible, with all its innovative products.

The total technical content of this article is not very much:

Wonder if Samsung has copied any of it from Apple.

Wonder if Samsung has copied any of it from Apple. that all depends which countries courts your using, using the American courts, almost always.

So the American courts are wrong or is it ok this time because it's Apple on the receiving end?

no but if you count the times Apple has been convicted compared to foreign companies then you can clearly see a pattern, while those foreign companies havent been convicted nearly as much in foreign courts. so its either theres a little bias against foreign companies in the US or all the foreign courts are wrong. Just take a look at GM compared to foreign rivals, GM problems have caused the most deaths, over 120 yet they were fined the least!? you decide if theres favourtism or not

Apple has been found guilty of at least infringing on a plethora of patents

Of course there is favouritism, but it's also true in the case of South Korea that there is favouritism. If you remove those two nations from the equation the results come out about 50/50 (not in terms of compensation though)... so I disagree with your response to my initial post. I'm certainly not saying that Apple don't or haven't infringed on any patents. That said... this whole legal battle, not just between Apple and Samsung but between all of them, is holding up development. They need to take start doing what the auto industry has started doing and make their patents available to promote development and not inhibit it.

GM fined the max, apparently. Clean air violators more dastardly than companies that actually kill people.

Congress is considering increasing the maximum fines the regulator can impose from $35 million to $300 million.[152] ... 152. "GM fined $35mn for delays in recalling faulty cars". Detroit Star. Retrieved May 17, 2014.
