Last month, EU lawmakers pushed the bloc closer to passing one of the world's first laws regulating systems like OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot. There is also growing clamour to regulate AI in the United States.

It still takes massive compute resources to train GLLM but the threshold is changing day by day.

Probably that horse left the barn when the proto-LLM were allowed access to the net, which many warned should not be done and they should have been sandboxed for the interim.
