As an Apple user since the late 80s with the Macintosh SE, Apple MacBook and Mac Pro computers are getting poorer, their designs might be more elegant and thinner, but their real-life performance and connectivity are now poor. Their OS X is getting worse than Windows, their own programmes such as Mail only partially work, and its ability to run Microsoft Office, the standard business package is a joke. Customer service is reluctant and focuses on 'not our fault!' Finally, anyone who can read through their massive End User License Agreements deserves a medal. Apple Care = Apple Don't Care. Tim Cook, Jonathon Ive and Co., have just lost the plot.

no surprise here. Have used both iOS and Android. The iPhone is vastly superior.

and stock made even more gains, reaching new records.. I am sure it is because of Obama though right? er..

The iPhone is vastly superior. if that is so why does Android hold 85% world market share to  iOS 14% Outside of the US market Apples share is about 10% seems most of the world doesn't agree the Iphone is vastly superior, my last 3 Android phones have all outperformed the equivalent Iphone, in the processor speed, screen resolution and memory

Being Apple addict not good for purse.

My conclusion : 10% of population are easy going people with money. Seems corresponding to reality.

Seems to me the only reason Apple does well here in Japan is because "everyone" has one.

Have to give credit to the folks at Apple who found the right way to market their products here, as the sheeples all jumped on board.

Funny thing around me though is all the folks who own an I-phone, not even one owns a Mac computer, a couple have i-pads, but everyone else is Windows or Android tablets. Go figure!

Yep, a bunch of not so wealthy people and / or without a clue about technology, go figure :)

That old canard.

There is only 1 iPhone. There are a thousand and one Androids.

Throw in the extra money needed to buy such superior quality, the numbers in 3rd world countries are naturally going to be lower.

I think its also to do with J makers dont have many good phones available and the best Android phones eg Samsung , LG being Korean isnt admired. ironically many of the parts in the latest Iphones are made by Korean firms, LCD screens made by LG, processor Samsung , flash memory Samsung, battery Samsung. LOL

I could buy 10 of every Apple product on the market, doesnt mean I see the value in that product, when it comes to performance in smartphones, Samsung for example out performs the Iphone in almost every spec and is cheaper, when it comes to computing Windows based computers are best for business and much cheaper than Macs, gaming, well Apple could make a good gaming computer or video card if they tried, well not for a price that is competitive. So no not all Apple owners are rich and Android owners are poor, just the same old excuse Applites use when their product is outperformed by cheaper products. LOL

I agree most Japanese are sheep, except me. lol

Love my Samsung Galaxy

I've had enough of the MacBook "Pro" computers with their horrible keyboards and useless touchbar. I recently bought a Dell XPS 13 and installed Linux. It all works nicely.

All touchbars and the position of the keyboard on most laptops today are made after Apple introduced them but with a limited locomotion of fat fingers it may work clumsy for some...

A Dell...come on ! :)

It's about not so smart reasoning about market shares as the mass of consumers globally buys android and a limited number of more wealthy users buy Apple.

And they don't trust the Chinese manufacturers for good reason. Remember Chinese tourists come to Japan to buy J-products that are readily available in China.

But most so-called J products are Made in China. Ah, you mean sake? :)
