Asian countries stop bullying yr own made in Asia products Huawei is very brave to fight unfairness with America, who is a big bully to get what they want . White supremacy is long over. If yr country do not support Hwawei, one day u will be slave & yes men to America. Pls think deeply. Help Asian companies like yr countries & companies. The same situation will happen if the companies in yr countries grow to as brave as Huawei. Forget jealousy, for all wants that u might envy of Huawei, save Asian people and companies.

Why did the US let Huawei provide telecom infrastructure for so many years if they are a danger? Then suddenly, Trump bans them. I don't get it. It just seems to say that the US can no longer compete with China, and this is the only way to save US manufacturers from bankruptcy. Well, they have more than 5600 US patents, so US companies will still have to pay to license the tech, so Huawei still makes money. But it still looks like the US can't compete anymore.

Well, they have more than 5600 US patents, so US companies will still have to pay to license the tech, so Huawei still makes money. But it still looks like the US can't compete anymore.

First of all, Huawei doesn't have 5600 US patents that is a part of the 5G NR standard, Huawei lags behind others in 5G NR SEP share.

Secondly, companies whose SEP patent share is less than that of its market share don't go out collecting royalties, rather hold onto their patents in case someone comes to them for a payday, then both side sign a cross license agreement and settle the difference in patent values pennies on a dollar.

Samsung is extremely good at this, so Samsung hardly pays any royalty and this is why Samsung is the only Android phone vendor that is profitable while everyone else including Huawei loses money.

So Huawei's portfolio is purely for legal defensive purpose, it is not meant to make money for Huawei via royalty and no American company pays royalty to Huawei.

China bans many if not most western apps and companies for their own reasons, why can't other countries?

They are getting their own medicine
