One wonders if Japan will again put up road block after road block trying to prevent Qualcomm from establishing its cellular technology in the Japanese market. In the early 1990s Japans efforts to restrict the bandwidth needed to operate Qualcomm's cellular technology was source of major trade friction between the US and Japan. One hopes the relationship has improved since those dark days.

There ain't no Japanese companies in the forefront of the 5G cellular network game. Only Koreans, Chinese and Americans. And this despite the fact that the Japanese pioneered 1G systems back in the 1970's. How the mighty have fallen.
