How bad must a company be to be banned by google, the worst company for personal privacy that i know. That's really saying something.

Amen!
But there are exceptions like meet.jit.si and other 100% F/LOSS projects. Jitsi doesn't require any signup. No demand for any account information. But it doesn't encrypt end-to-end either. Most of these solutions use something called WebRTC, which has all sorts of security problems that have been well known, but we (including me) use them.
If Zoom hadn't lied and mislead, there wouldn't be any issues.
When I want secure conferencing, I use my own conference setup with SSL encryption. Nextcloud-Talk supports that, if anyone is interested. https://nextcloud.com/talk/ 100% F/LOSS, but you can pay someone to setup and support it for your company. It uses WebRTC, so the SSL tunnel helps a little, but doesn't close all security issues.
Taiwan has made using Zoom illegal. Many companies have also specifically named Zoom as not to be used.

I connect with my clients through another application that has a "Start Video" with Zoom button in-bedded in it.
It connects us using my personal Zoom number and we use that other application while seeing each other with Zoom.
I know of the email link way of connecting (which doesn't need a password), but that's not the way I connect.
This password requirement came on so suddenly that some of my clients were locked out of Zoom and gave up. Some were, at the last second, able to find the password I sent them earlier but we lost quite a bit of time.

Here was a similar App year’s back and owned by Brad Greenspan. He originated my space as well as Live Video. Live Video would get dropped in with live sex and would last for hours. Needless to say it shut down.
sounds like Zoom is zooming to doom.

Just finished a two-hour group meeting on Zoom and I'm glad to say we weren't hijacked by an unknown flasher. Phew!
Zoom, laughing all the way to the bank.

The problem is Zoom sells user data!

I am not really seeing the problem here. It isn't inconvenient at all. The password is in the email link that you use to invite others to the meeting. You don't do any extra steps, nor do you need to remember the password. You just click the link like before. Now the link has few extra characters at the end. That is the password.
You don't get the email or invitation then you can't click the link that includes the password in it to join.
How is that different from before?

I've used Zoom for awhile and use it for one-on-one meetings.
I don't need nor want to use a password just to chat with my clients but Zoom last week suddenly forced all us users to use a password.
It used to be an option you could turn off but now can't.
Zoom is definitely serious about tackling this security issue but have also made it inconvenient for some of us, too.

Hardly seems fair to sue Zoom for some random dude showing up naked in the group chat.
