The US will always be ahead as china will have to copy them (meaning at least 'second place').

That's not what some in the industry are saying. Some are saying that Huawei's 5G technology is more advanced than their competitors, and offers it at a better price too. You can't copy what others don't have.

The US can't compete so they entice other countries to ban them, and even forced Canada to do a political arrest on the daughter of HW's owner for some leverage.

" offers it at a better price too."

because it is being back by the Chinese government. Huawei and the Chinese government are the same thing.

@RealCDN Huawei has more than 5,500 US patents. It is not behind the US.

We don’t have a local 5G equipment winner. Our telecom companies, including AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, have all announced they will work with Nokia and Ericsson and South Korea’s Samsung as their 5G suppliers.

We have to be competitive by making products better and cheaper not by asking other countries to ban our competitors’ products. It’s like admitting defeat. This will probably go the way of Zenith and RCA if so. Luckily Congress is taking China seriously and discussing what policies to take to accelerate 5G use.

5G is akin to the space race between the US and the former Soviet Union.
