WikiLeaks chief lashes out at media

As WikiLeaks fell behind on its promised release of a new tranche of 15,000 U.S. intelligence reports, one former group spokesman was quoted this week as saying that the organization was becoming consumed by its confrontation with the Pentagon.

Well, he wanted to be chief-nemesis and now he's complaining? LoL

As far as I would want the net to be neutral, and non-partisanship assured, surely Mr Julian ASSANGE is well-aware of the consequences of his actions.

He accused the Wall Street Journal of participating in what he described as a “scam” to discredit WikiLeaks by publicizing the details of its e-mail exchanges with human rights groups, which reportedly expressed disquiet over the naming of informants in the Afghanistan intelligence reports it posted to the web.

LoL HuffPost, wired, and WSJ attacked all at the same time. WTH have you been up to Mr ASSANGE?!

Assange has lost it. He doesn't trust his colleagues, seeks full control of everything and, ironically, gets upset when people leak information about him. He had a good cause, but his megalomania is his downfall.

I wouldn't go as far as your assessment-- what's certain though is that the wikiLeaks would have been a logistic and intel nightmare for the Coalition.

thanks for the transcript, that pretty much covers it. Assange is not a team player and has lost it. Who would work with such a dolt? More people are going to leave. The wikileaks idea however is now out there and while this group may fade away the idea will not and it may be tried again

I think Wikleaks is a good thing, as it is a place where information that has been kept secret can be given to anyone and everyone.

But.

Some secrets are kept secret for a reason. It's called National Security. If it puts peoples lives in danger- don't expose it. I would have thought that common sense.

If they're going to tell us who killed JFK or something like that, fine. That would be a good read. But, US/UK or anywheres military secrets, are military secrets.

There's a ton of reasons why we shouldn't know about them.

I'm sure for the savvy Chinese everything is possible. For the savvy geeks over the world anything is possible even with state-sanctioned web censorship.

True, but you can easily conjure something that may well be inaccurate or worse doctored to dupe people.
