I wonder how world lithium supplies stand up, especially if mega-batteries take off.
If not standing up, watch out for more bunfights with fossil, nuclear, geo and bio.
I for one can't wait to get a battery on my wall. Not so much for dependence as flexibility. That is what SOuth Australia has in mind too I think.

Yet again, poor reporting in a technology article:
Is that a 100 MW battery which provides power for 30 minutes? 1 hour? 10 hours?
Why don't we get this important information?

So more and bigger landfill for the self-proclaimed eco-friendly car.

I found the following piece on another report. I can't say whether it's accurate or not.
"It's the biggest lithium-ion system so far, but has a limited duration: only 129 megawatt-hours to its 100 megawatts of power capacity. Tesla has noted the system holds enough energy to power more than 30,000 homes, roughly the number that lost power during the blackout. But it could only power them for about an hour."

Thanks albaleo.
