Useless windowdressing with no real reform at all.

Why do we need Olympics?
How does it enrich my life?
i am just paying some extra cash into a black hole so that some sweating guy can prove that he is the best in something...

Gold, silver and bronze - the currency of the modern IOC.
Nothing to do with medals.
The Lords of the Rings may as well award BitCoins for all of their interest in the athletes!

Lipstick on a pig.
I have no idea why any city would want this corrupt organization anywhere close to their tax money.

The Olympics, flushing tax dollars from the host nation down the toilet. Tokyo, loss of $18 billion (1.8 trillion yen) and counting. IOC, wants to have the Olympics, IOC needs to fully fund it. There are World Championships, in myriad sports, that do not require the absurd amounts of capital and if one is piqued by the sport, the event is available in mediated form or sitting in the stadium or arena and watching. World Cup Soccer is a fine example. The IOC is akin to a cabal of crooks or gangsters.
Stationary cycling. Really? Surreal.

Yes stationary cycling is what is needed to save the Olympics. What a big reform... Sounds like the word reform is the highlight of this reform.

Olympics need a permanent site. How about Greece and Norway?

The original Olympics were held exclusively in Greece up to the Eastern Roman/Byzantine Empire days. The 100th anniversary of the modern Olympics (1996) were supposed to be in Athens but political maneuvering by the USA Yuppies put them in Atlanta, USA instead. Mind you, it was a re-election year. It's all a stupid political game irself. The media coverage was jingoistic, chatterbox and downright sickening. Even most of the US athletes whined 'Only the Gold will do'. That was 25 years ago and it still leaves a bad taste for me.
And the opening 'entertainment' was from Celine Dion. Yeeeccchhh.

The IOC just recently added breakdancing as an Olympic sport last year. What next, air guitar playing? We do have contests for that now where contestants are judged by 'hand-on-neck', hand play motions and even hair spins. The music for this contest is usually punk and/or thrash.

Sure. Why not? They already added golf.
