Fantastic result for a committed athlete. When the going got tough Lee stood up on her own behalf, for her team and for the country that made her dreams possible. I can’t imagine the pressure that Biles quitting at the last minute put on her young shoulders. But she fought threw it and achieved the ultimate. That is the can do attitude and success under pressure that America fosters among its people and brings out the country’s greatness.

as a woman of color, i would really like to take this advice to heart, but i do not understand it.

i can reach my dreams because i never know what's going to happen in the end? i can do just what i want to do because i never know what's going to happen in the end? and just exactly what "end" is she referring to?

in the end, i will die. i know this. does this mean i cannot reach my dreams and that i cannot just do what i want to do?

how can i take her advice if i do not understand it? someone please help me, a woman of color.

Every serious athlete has injuries, pain, and wants to quit at some point during their many years of training. A good doctor, familiar with the injuries specific to a sport can really help with pain management, specific stretching and exercises to help recovery.

Her family and their support over all the years of practice was absolutely critical.

Congratulations to Andrade as well.

Sunisa Lee wanted to quit during quarantine.

But she didn't.

She fought through her troubles and went all in.

That is true greatness.

Prosody: I cannot answer you questions completely as it would take 3 big books to write my life story.

I am not a woman of color but a man of color.

My parents passed away when I was in High School and I was left with two choices.

There was no money. Do nothing or continue with schooling and work part time to pay for everything.

I chose the latter. It was a lot of hard work, doing without a lot of things and eventually now I am a very humble and very financially stable person. I do not even need to work even though I am still young.

Life can be tough and keep calm and sail to better days.

Hmong are Chinese. We are the 6th largest ethnic group of China's 56 official "Nationalities." We are aboriginal to China and the majority of Hmong/Miao (appr 10 million) are still thriving throughout southern China. The Hmong of Laos, which Suni is a member of, fled China in the 1800's to escape Qing Dynasty persecution. However, S.E. Asian Hmong make up just a small fraction of the global Hmong population. Western Hmong (i.e. Hmong-Americans) make an even smaller fraction of the global Hmong community.

So, to answer your query... all Hmong names are Chinese....more specifically...Mandarin Chinese since the Hmong lexicon is approximately 40% Mandarin.
