My father worked his whole life for WHO and even he was saying in the 1990s that the organization was rife with corruption. And it all started with  Hiroshi Nakajima when he took over from Dr. Halfdan T. Mahler

All of these international organizations are corrupt to the core. It's like they're not even trying to hide it anymore.

I think the title of the article is really a question -

Who hopes Tokyo Olympics can go ahead despite extension of state of emergency?

And the answer is people who have a vested financial interest in it and who do not care about the people who actually live in this country.

That’s not surprising in the least. The WHO and other UN bureaucracies like it do the bidding of their funders, winers and diners and are totally unaccountable to the general public. So for the WHO to hope for the Olympics to go ahead is consistent with their behavior over the last year or so and back to when your father was there, and probably beyond. (By the way, I’m not alluding to your father being part of the problem - many people join these organizations for the right reason only to discover they’ve been hijacked by crooks)

It is his turn to collect a suitcase of cash after his President got his from China. For 8 weeks WHO held off calling Covid a pandemic.

disgusting self serving organisation with corrupt oficials

Hope so..

Japan extends state of emergency in six places to May 31 over COVID-19.

The trouble is there is no sign of any subsiding. If this goes on, the Olympics (even if held on time) would surely shun visitors and spectators, making it a rather superfluous world games.

Well, there just isn't any other more viable option at the moment..

The World Health Organization hopes..... Google believes..... The Guardian views.... Amazon wants.... the UN demands..... but who makes the decisions? not organizations.

Here again, the perpetual misleading headlines. He is not "hoping" in the sense of "supporting" as is suggested by the headline, but rather is saying this in the sense of "wouldn't it be nice, if it could occur....but probably it won't".

Anyway, the WHO has very little credibility, and what little remained, is further tarnished by any positive comment about continuing the Olympics in the face of the dire health risks and opposition of close to 80% of Japanese. Shame on you, WHO.

Yeah. Let's have The Olympics: a super-spreader event. There is no Big Plan to vaccinate. 2% inoculated. Another empty promise to vaccinate one million a day. with a projection it will take SEVEN MONTHS.

Why am I not so much shocked, that they suddenly also belong to that mafia-like network? Ah yes, I remember, the delays of all those COVID-19 announcements...

What the heck does this have to do with the Who.? Do they not have more pressing things to be focused on at the moment?

Has WHO gone our of its mind?
