The torch relay and also the Olympics altogether.

80% of the japanese population supports the idea.

Listen to what the people want J-Gov.

Totally right.

This foolish Governor is using ration and logic. Stop doing that. And yes, it absolutely should be canceled.

@zoroto,

Good spot.

However I am more surprised that they simply just didn't print more posters from scratch since money seems to be no problem in this Tokyo Olympic debacle.

‘Hope lights our way’ seems a very appropriate slogan. Hope no one notices what a colossal waste of money and time this has been and don’t shine any light on the inept and corrupt individuals who’ve made a killing.

He is right but says that once it has started, when it is getting more difficult to cancel it.

Stickers are used all the time to correct or change things that are cancelled or wrong. So there is nothing wrong with the photo.

The virus didn’t turn out to be anywhere near as deadly as they predicted.

Its all a lot of hot air and virtue signaling

Even the ex Vice President of Pfizer has come out and said so

look it up if you’re prepared to change your mindset

Obviously this will not be agreed to as it would bring too much bad publicity to the Olympics and highlight the current state of increasing cases to the world. Understanding will be requested and the relay has to go on as how dare anyone publicly want to tarnish the Olympic like that. Shame on him. What is more important the Olympics and its deeply significant victory over the virus, and Fukushima is reconstructed relay or people.

I expect the Osaka governor will be charged with heresy and burnt at the torch.

"Wishful thinking lights our way"

Osaka Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura is political points scoring.

I'm at the point now where I just wish they'd get the Olympics over with. The Games are going to be held no matter what. Hopefully, all the athletes, officials and media coming from overseas will already have been vaccinated.

The strange thing is that this time last year, or just before the torch relay was scheduled to begin, several countries said they would not attend. But this year, not one country's Olympic committee has said they won't be coming. Australia unveiled their team uniforms yesterday, so they are coming.

Um, 550,000 deaths in the US in a year.

Osaka governor demanded to early finish state of emergency, and caused 4th epidemic.

But few media of Japan mention such a his responsibility.

Present situation about Covid-19 in Japan is far worse than when Olympics 2020 was postponed last year.

But Japan's government, ruling party LDP and Tokyo 2020 committee started torch relay.

The athletes want this. Most of them have been dreaming of this for a long time. Although, it won't be as special without many fans, they want to compete.
