I've been saying that for a couple of weeks now.

Postponing it a month is not going to do squat. We need more time. One thing another Virologist said on the Agenda with Steve Paikan a couple of days ago struck me as very important:

We don't know if this Virus is going to peter out like SARS did 17 years ago or if its going to recur in cycles. This is very important so the olympics need to be postponed for at least a year until we figure out what we are dealing with. But a 1 month postponement isn' t going to do anything

Games must and will be postponed to 2021. July, better September.

everyone involved needs time to readjust. A few months postponement is impossible. A year can be managed.

I couldn't care less if the Olympics are cancelled.

Just wondering how many of those in favor of cancelling/postponing the games

A) Are attending one or more events

B) Live in Japan

C) Had any intention of going/securing tickets

Sports events are happening all over the world today, in preparation for the Olympics. Noticeably missing from those events are the Chinese athletes.

For sports where China is dominant, this might be the only chance for the 2nd and 3rd place world champions to get a Gold medal.

Chinese sports organizations should make arrangements for their teams to live and train outside China ASAP. First by having an international team of virologists monitoring the athletes inside China at camps, effectively in quarantine, then move outside China until the national selection events are held in remote places, then until the Olympics. Perhaps Chn can't send their absolute best athletes, but often their 2nd best people are still trained and conditioned so well as to be dominant in some sports.

The sports I follow did have Chinese competitors, which ones had missing athletes?
