Not to worry! Trump will be forgotten history, and the wall will have been torn down! Enjoy!

Of the 80 games, 60 will be played in the United States with 10 each in Canada and Mexico.

Basically, the US got the WC for 2026. I don't particularly like the multi-national hosting of the WC.

Of course Canada does -- not to belittle my native land, but I think that's the only way we'll ever get into the WC bar a miracle.

Without fail, every time I hear about the US bid for the WC I keep thinking about this comedy skit from '92.

A bad day for international football but at least the current Lead Clown of the US will not open or attend the games :)

The US-Canada-Mexico has the biggest collection of different ethnicities across three nations - in 2026 with 48 qualifying nations, those many peoples have a good chance to watch their respective ethnic countries from the stands of large-capacity World Cup stadiums

in my lifetime, i don't think canada has ever appeared at the World Cup. it should be interesting to see the canadian venues. i imagine BC Place in Vancouver. the Roger's Centre in Toronto. The Stade du Olympique in Montreal. the Saddledome in Calgary. It'd be nice if Winnipeg, Regina & Halifax could play host city to some of the 48 teams so that they can take part in the World Cup too.

What a terrible choice. I wonder how much they paid to win the bid.

I wonder how much they paid to win the bid.

The vote was a runaway (134 to 65) - if they paid, then it's money wasted since it wasn't necessary
