Many Republican legislatures have also enacted laws making it more difficult to vote in response to Trump’s false claims of voter fraud.

Yes, but what is not mentioned is these same GOP legislatures enacting laws that enable themselves to choose their own electors if they lose, and claim "voter fraud". That is more frightening, and it will very possibly happen in places like Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Pennsylvania. That's Plan A.

If that doesn't work, there's Plan B. The GOP will win the House this year, making McCarthy speaker. If Trump loses the electoral vote (again) in 2024, the House will refuse to validate the result.

This is not some wild conjecture. The GOP is openly working on it. Why? Because they know they can't win fair and square.
