Sweden was for a long time one of the world’s most successful societies: prosperous, peaceful, safe, healthy industrious and highly educated. But now that’s gone forever. That's because several years back, certain policymakers believed that Sweden needed to change to adapt to the modern world, for reasons many of us will never understand.

What a waste. And it was wholly preventable.

and then look at the two pictures above and the reason is obvious. The only answer is mass deportation and a total ban on immigration.

Sweden messed up big time. I believe Muslims now represent some ten percent of their national population.

Several countries in Europe are about to go the way of Russia, with their own versions of Chechenya. There will be intermittent civil wars and conflicts, and the Islamified areas of these countries will be run by local warlords. That is probably the best case scenario.

Love the way you have to get almost to the end of the article before the word "immigration" finally appears.

One could argue that Sweden was naively welcoming in having such a liberal immigration policy. However, your doomsday vision of the future is absurd, as is your comparison to Chechnya - it was an Islamic majority area before Russia conquered it and incorporated it into the country.

Why all the worry? I mean, this just part of the “huge transformation” which Barbara Lerner-Spectre spoke about that must take place if Europe wishes to survive. True, it may only survive bloodied and beaten comatose state, but as long as there is a pulse that counts right?

What writers spoils the surprise of a whodunit?

They can thank the US Israel and Saudi Arabia for creating and sponsoring the terrorists in the Syria war that drove all the migrants North

How is that "multiculturalism" going for you Sweden?

Not so different in the UK, Germany, France and Italy.

Nope. What is happening right now is exactly what myself and many others started predicting like some eight years ago around the time of Bataclan. Before that even. We were dismissed then and somehow we are still being dismissed even though we keep getting proven right time and time again.

Chechnya - it was an Islamic majority area before Russia conquered it and incorporated it into the country.

Doesn't matter. The cause of how Islam ended up in what is now Russia doesn't matter. This is what many European countries are bound to eventually look like. That is, unless they become majority muslim, in which case they are more likely to look like Kazakhstan.

The article clearly states both sides of the problem. Immigration policies means that yes...sometimes some bad apples enter and cause problems. No screening can keep out all the riff raff. The majority of the gangs are from low income areas. These are kids and teens who have a bleak future living in impoverished conditions. If they could find jobs, they probably wouldn't be joining gangs. Immigration policy isn't just about letting people in, It has to include integration policies. skills training, education, community connections. Just letting them in and washing your hands of them isn't going to work.

A better response would to be very careful who you invite in. And swiftly deport those who don't meet expectations.

That's right Wolfshine. But you can't state the obvious on this site on a myriad of topics.

I don’t see the problem. In the worst case scenario it will converge to a US-style system with ghettos here and there where people kill each other as much as they want… while the lucky ones who live outside have a relatively comfortable life if they stay inside their homes or cars for most of the time.

I spent some time at University in Lund back in the 1960s. It was a lovely place, although petty theft was a nuisance. I have heard that things have changed a lot since then, for the worse.

As for just making a blanket accusation that Muslims are the problem, that is too simplistic, perhaps? For instance, here in California there is a population of over a million Muslims, and I am not aware of any gang violence in connection with them. My family have been treated by both Muslim and Jewish immigrant health professionals, much to our benefit. (As well as health professionals of other nationalities, of course.) One of our kids married an immigrant from Pakistan, who is very intelligent and hard working, and a very successful businessperson.

I am very sorry for the problems being experienced in Sweden, and I would like to understand why it is happening. Perhaps the national government needs to create a special task force to address the problem?

When you have criminally active migrants, don't let them stay especially when they go this far to ruin your society. If they don't uphold your values and societal norms, they got to go.

Just a point of correction: the suburb dwellers don't have to stay inside as the ghetto dwellers don't go wandering the state. The homeless do, but they are usually too busy panhandling to cause trouble.

Societies are strongest when they don't build up racial tension and are strong economically. FTFY.

20-20 hindsight is a wonderful gift but I'm talking about a solution to an existing problem which is there because nobody listened to your advice in the past. What should have happened didn't and the resulting problem needs to be dealt with.

Spend some wonderful time in Sweden but to quote a line from Hamlet, something is rotten in the state of Denmark, and it will be no easy fix. Wishing them luck however they approach it.

Too late.

They don't have a chance anymore, even while lately trying to row back politically a few millimeters, but of course it's useless and too late and even much worse, they aren't by far the only ones in Europe with very similar prospects.
