10 year mandatory prison sentence for desecration of art.

So easy to oppose and despoil to get attention. So hard to create and build the future we want.

NO respect for these misguided souls and whatever cause they think they are advancing.

Climate activists glue themselves to 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' painting

Please stop.

These 'protesters' are useful idiots or a smear campaign funded by Big Oil.

Cui bono? Only the polluters and deniers.

"This painting is protected by glass but the future of our children is not protected."

Stupid analogy. Stupid people.

They're giving climate activism a bad name. Not helping their cause one bit.

Just leave them glued until their pants are full of their own waste and they beg authorities to unglue them. Of wait, they are already unglued.

Hopefully these idiots will get lengthy prison sentences. That may put a stop to this.

What a bunch of losers..

Send them to jail and give them a lesson..

Just leave them there without food or water, or any means to clean themselves up. They'll give in pretty fast. Then charge them for the damage done.

Russia & the CCP are behind these protestors - they should all be arrested and put into isolation under anti-terrorism/treason investigation.

While I am extremely worried about the climate and support urgent action to deal with it, I’m quickly getting sick of these idiotic stunts that put important pieces of our cultural heritage at risk of damage.

Just please stop.

This type of protest is wrong and vandalism. They should be protesting against Big Oil which is making massive record profits from the current situation. They are causing ordinary people to dislike their protests.

Go after those who are financing these idiots.

How to win friends and influence people - not.

This will cause a backlash that will damage other activists, who are trying to raise serious issues in less antagonistic ways. It will also switch the focus from the environment and government policies to the protests and protestors themselves.

I don't think glue and tomato soup need a lot of financing.

These people are Eco-Terrorists. They have a point to put forward - and have the wrong agenda to do so. They also put lives at risk, and already have... "Blood" on their hands.

I have no pity upon them.

Let them Soil their pants in public.

They are being paid to do this and all their legal fees are covered.

As to the Financing... its been reported (elsewhere) that a relation of an Oil-Company Executive is behind the Financing...

Doesn't matter really, put them in Jail, and deny bail as they are a risk to the Public, and that is what Jail is for.

Space-X Rockets as too other Rockets, are not environmentally Friendly... will they go after those too ?

What about Airlines, will they start gluing themselves to runways, or undercarriages of aircraft ?

The history of protest, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks included, is a history of other people opposing the method of protest. Urgh! Fancy kneeling down during the national anthem or before the football!

Climate change protests have continued for at least 30 years with no-one listening. You cannot blame them for trying something new. Pretty much all scientists agree with them.

"Soup on a painting is basically the same as murder" - a very cool, smart and not maladjusted person.

Fingers crossed.

The good Germans at Volkswagen had the best answer to this. A group of these woebegone wanderers infested a room at their Wolfsberg factory. VW staff simply closed off the room and turned out the lights, and denied access to any of the protesters' allies. The group began to complain that they weren't given bowls to use as toilets, water, etc.

Well, it took all of 24 hours for the protest to fizzle out. One protester, who glued his hand to the floor, was worried about getting blood clots in his glued hand and called off the protest. As he whined, "My health is of course paramount". Shows the level of conviction, or lack thereof, that these clowns have.

"Caring about your personal health is incompatible with caring about the state of the planet" - someone very smart, probably

“I’m willing to protest something, but only so long as there’s no risk to myself. Other people’s stuff is fair game though” - some dipstick glued to a wall.

They're gonna hit the big Dutch LNG terminal next.

At least if they did that, I’d see a more justifiable connection between their stated goals and their intended target
