“I don’t want to tell you to this, I refuse to tell you, don’t let it outside of this room. I will not tell you that one of our great great generals, don’t let it outside, we are going to appoint Mad Dog Mattis as our secretary of defense and we’re not announcing it until Monday so don’t tell it to anybody.”
Donny in December 2016

LOL
Trump fans will have no problem supporting the trust fund scammer billionaire over the decorated war hero. None at all
It's in their blood.

Look, Mattis has a good sense of humor, I thought it was funny. Respect and deeply admire the man, more than some of the other big mouth veterans that think they know everything and just talk. The President and him didn’t see eye to eye. He resigned which is his right and that’s it, doesn’t matter how decorated he is, if the President who has the final say doesn’t agree with his general and vice versa then they need to part ways. Simple as that.

So, what do you think of Donny calling Mattis the "great, great general" in 2016 and then not three ears later calling him the "world's most overrated general"? You do realize that Donny is disparaging his own judgment, correct?

Go Gen Mattis! Show this cowardly Draft Dodger that you don't mess with a Marine Devil Dog.
"Donald Trump earned his spurs in a Doctors Letter".....Ouch - that's a sick burn...
Donnie must look like a deep fried pumpkin...
One more;
Nailed it....

Trump can think or say whatever he wants, I could care less, he has his opinions and Mattis has his.
Mattis is a general and not President, so he can make jokes all he wants in the end.

History will show who was on the right side.
Yes, and history will show Trump was right in getting us out of Syria.

Mad Dog had better be careful what he says during the next 5 years, it wouldn't be befitting for a former Secretary of Defense to undermine a sitting Commander-in-Chief.

There is a clear difference between Mattis and Giuliani which is while the first preferred to serve his country while the latter prefers to serve for the interests of Trump.

"I earned my spurs on a battlefield and Donald Trump earned his spurs in a letter from a doctor."
Gen. James Mattis
When Mattis left Trump's cabinet, I knew it was going to be all downhill from there.
CrazyJoe
Burned. The laughter will drive Trump nuts. Or more nuts.
When the US military leadership turns against him, as they now are, as they hold him in revulsion for his treachery, this is not a good place for a constitutional republic. Things are now getting dangerous. We have got to get rid of him, and yesterday would not be fast enough.

Be careful? The pro-Russia, global alt right crowd pushing for lese majeste laws to protect the authoritarian from criticism? Mattis may be a career deep swamper, but he’s still a private citizen allowed to express his opinion. And given he currently serves on the Board of Directors for General Dynamics, one of the globe’s largest defense contractors, I think his position in the swamp is pretty secure.

Well, history sure showed how he built that wall that Mexico paid for...

The guy has been publicly insulted. He was given the rostrum and asked to make a speech.
Let him have his say, and the more humorous it is the better, surely. What's not to like?
stormcrow
I like this one...

As well as how it’s progressing nicely.
I doubt it. Mattis is out, not sitting in the Oval Office, he can have his laughs, the President has his.
but not the majority of servicemen. Remember, these same men that want to stay in these wars were excoriated by the Democrats just a few years ago and everything they said was dismissed and now the Democrats support the military??? Just like they respect our intelligence community? Give me a break! Were it a Democrat President and did the same thing like Obama, the Democrats would push and support their President’s decision, but it’s Trump, so we need to side with the people we really hate.
So do it fair and square, try to find someone on the Dems side electable. So far, you guys don’t have anyone. Maybe in 2024 you might....maybe...
Chip Star
With zero funding from Mexico andcso effective 8 year olds can scale it.
Sick come back.
You know this how? Did you interview every single service member? Didn't think so.
This is rich comingvfrom slmeone that constantly disparages the intelligence community.
The Dems are via impeachment. It will bring out Donny's corruption and force Senate republicans to go in record as supporting it. It's far more fair and square than holding up military aid to Ukraine for dirt on Biden.
bass4funk
A replica, but noticed they didn’t try again with the finished and fully implemented product.

But the difference is, I don’t work for the government, so......
Yeah, yeah, yeah....Mueller will get Trump...uh-Huh...ok, let’s go down this road yet again and let the Dems take themselves out of the voting cycle again, especially since this President won’t be removed. Not nearly enough Browny on the planet to clean up all the egg mess they e accumulated. Lol
Chip Star
That would be illegal, which is why they used an exact replica.
No funding from Mexico. Donny lied to you and your taking it.
Doesn't change the fact that you disparage the intelligence community when they contradict Donny and cheer them when the corroborate him.
Someone's triggered. That won't stop Donny's corruption from being displayed through the impeachment proceedings.
