Look, Mattis has a good sense of humor, I thought it was funny. Respect and deeply admire the man, more than some of the other big mouth veterans that think they know everything and just talk. The President and him didn’t see eye to eye. He resigned which is his right and that’s it, doesn’t matter how decorated he is, if the President who has the final say doesn’t agree with his general and vice versa then they need to part ways. There is a clear difference between Mattis and Giuliani which is while the first preferred to serve his country while the latter prefers to serve for the interests of Trump.

Be careful? The pro-Russia, global alt right crowd pushing for lese majeste laws to protect the authoritarian from criticism? Mattis may be a career deep swamper, but he’s still a private citizen allowed to express his opinion. And given he currently serves on the Board of Directors for General Dynamics, one of the globe’s largest defense contractors, I think his position in the swamp is pretty secure.
