so where are the lockdowns dont work trolls?

they clearly do, while it highly unlikely that itll stop covid19 completely , it give hospitals and authorities time to prepare and better respond to any flare ups, until a vaccine is found

@wtfjapan,

But was it worth it, or even necessary?

Japan's current situation would point towards locking down being unnecessary.Europe would indicate they only buy time not solve the problem.

New Zealand would indicate they are great if you keep borders closed.

The rest of Australia would suggest the lockdown could have ended a lot sooner.

Melbourne indicates they reduce numbers but at huge financial and social costs. Already it's cost the economy at least nine billion aud. And there is a lot of public anger.

The pm for one thinks the lockdown went on too long.

Personally, I hope nobody has to experience being house arrest for three months ever again.

Wrong. All States closed borders and kept numbers low right from the start.

There is a big financial cost regardless of being in lock down or not. That has been shown around the world.

There is not much anger in Melbourne at all. Most are grateful the lock down is coming to an end but realize it was absolutely necessary.

To conclude as a citizen of Melbourne, it had been both worth it and necessary.

Peter

The rest of the country didn't lockdown like melbourne, even the pm has been calling for restrictions to be lifted sooner.

Melbourne's financial situation is far worse than the rest of oz.

And to conclude dictator dan will be voted out, if you think otherwise I am willing to bet you however much you want.
