Well, yeah, that should have been the spirit by last year!

Wait.....Wuhan market WASN'T the epicentre of the outbreak??

Beijing's official case tally is no longer believed to reflect reality.

Lol! It never did. No one believe China's stats, but there are some here who did. Lol

Anyone with an iota of Chinese knowledge would also think that the protests that finally got China to this point would have no noticeable impact.

The painful days have thankfully you past.

I am sure China has much lower death tolls than America's 1.5 million deaths and other third world country like India. China is much successfully to beat the Covid. The people of Wuhan has a done a very good job !

 America's 1.5 million deaths

Whoah I didn't know it was that much.

I hope you are right, but I am afraid it’s not over for China. Also, please take a look at the last paragraph of this article.

Residents of China's Wuhan said Monday

Seriously? What kind of junk news reporting is this? 11 million residents said this, did they? Or just a delivery driver and a cleaner, representing the opinions of all residents?

Exactly-When did journalism turn into pure conjecture, because that's all this piece of work really represents.

And people get paid for writing this kind of scantly researched tripe...

wearing glasses and a black face mask to keep warm.

Absolutely priceless- "to keep warm". Isn't that why everyone is wearing face masks?

Well, as long as YOU are sure, there needn't be any need to question China's 'Official' figures.

We can all rest easy- It's all above board...

Yes, this is pretty poor journalism - would have been interesting if there had been an in-depth look into the actual nefarious activities of this infamous market, just to see if they've still got the cages stacked high full of dead snakes, civets, rats, birds, bats, pangolins, cockroaches and other delicacies, blood oozing between the various offerings in line with their zoonotic crossover infections which put them on the map......

Although realistically, between their disgusting markets and their dodgy insecure bio-labs, they don't give a damn really how much death and misery they inflict on the world's populations.

Given that far too large a proportion of the elderly and most at risk have not been vaccinated and the lower efficacy of the Chinese vaccines, if 80% of the population have been infected then it is not overly surprising that no one believes the farcical official statistics.

Look rather at the reports of overflowing hospitals and morgues and the queues outside of undertakers for a better view of the reality.

I think that's the 'with covid' figure, which is an overestimate: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/01/13/covid-pandemic-deaths-hospitalizations-overcounting/

That's just a rumor lol.

The most probable cause of death is what's put as cause of death in the death cert, not covid just because the.deceased is positive

@elephant200 Question are you ok? I think dyslexia has set in. Are you really sure? I am willing to bet the ONLY REASON the death toll in China is lower because of all the bodies that China is cooking and under reporting the count and causes of death. You are very good at math and cooking the books. If China was successful at beating Covid then why are people falling out in the middle of the streets as shown in the picture, and why are the people in China still wearing pampers on their face. In America you don't see people wearing pampers on their face. I think you have wishful news and wishful thinking. LMFAO you wrote "*The people of Wuhan has a done a very good job"! *Yes that is infecting the world over!!! I wonder how much you get paid for being a troll spreading inaccurate information!!.

Excellent !!.. Moving forward..

Go Wuhan, GO CHINA !!!...

But it is likely a huge underestimate for a population of 1.4 billion, and Beijing's official case tally is no longer believed to reflect reality.

Once again it looks like "...reflecting reality" is not a concern of the CCP nor their anti-west trolls and other supporters.

"...is no longer believed to reflect reality."

Is 'no longer believed' by WHOM?? The Big Media prevaricators who are paid to direct less reflective Western thinking about China? By the way, the last time I was in Shanghai, I did not see impoverished people living in tents lining the streets, IN THE WINTER, as I see in America. Western Media is completely untrustworthy and anyone fact checking just the Ukraine stories knows this. Spend a couple of decades with American media and you SHOULD know it as soon as you hear, see, or read it. "People are saying..."
