It wouldn’t be a normal day in America without a shooting. Let’s all give thanks for guns. As American as turkey and pumpkin pie.

Those thoughts, prayers, and good guys with guns sure are effective in reducing firearm violence. Absolutely no need for anything else.

It’s ok because they are taking action to make sure people with mental illness can’t get guns.

It sure is, because by bringing up a point that can be debated, but has no possible action to actually do anything, it gives the gun nuts an excuse to not discuss restricting guns - something that actually could be done. But they aren't willing to make the tough decisions, because doing so would take away their guns, and very few Americans are willing to put country over self.

Why do teens kill each other? Well, if memory serves me well, being a teen often involved posturing/disputing territory/fighting and all that negative stuff that comes to the fore when the hormones kick in. The damage done (physical or verbal) between angry teens could be devestating.

Now, add in guns to the mix - the combination is deadly. And the idea (put forward by some) of having more armed "good guys" doesn't work. Just ask the family of Jemel Roberson.
