Trump is really sinking. Sinking without trace.

For those still certain he is going to win, you can get 7/4 on him. Good odds.

Biden doesn't have to do anything and he will win. The November vote is a vote against Trump. Anyone who runs against him will win.

And l will have to go back to ignoring the World section on JT once he has gone. Sad in some ways because I’ve really enjoyed the Trump freak show over the past few years.

Trump news: President ignores multiple crises to brag about golf game as White House officials admit coronavirus testing failures

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-news-live-president-golfs-071000727.html

The divisive and racist politics only worked when trump was riding Pres. Obama successful and stable economy. After ruining all of that with his poor leadership, we now have:

Pandemic of 1918-19s

The Great Depression

The Race Riots of the 60s

All since January and all on the dunces's watch.

The silent majority??

More like a stunned "I can't believe this is happening" silence that people couldn't have imagined in their worst nightmares. Trump really has trashed America and everything it has stood for over the years to advance his own ill-informed agenda.

15 ( +21 / -6 )

"I think, quite frankly, a lot of people like me are frustrated with the divisiveness and dysfunction on both sides and don't feel like we have two great choices."

Elephant or Donkey has never been a great choice for the majority of citizens who, putting their "trust in God" and in their 24/7 pursuit of happiness and the "almighty dollar", have built a shining idiocracy (from the Greek,  ἰδιώτης idiōtēs - a private person unwilling to participate in public affairs) on the hill from where their orange rooster crows and tweets from the break of dawn. The good news is, if the current trend holds, come November when they look out their window, he'll be gone quacking like a duck. But the bad news is the WH will have to be refurbished and transformed from a kindergarten to an old folk's home. The renewal of the republic will then be in the hands of the next Veep. Godspeed and may she succeed!

Appealing to something the right have long called 'the silent majority' includes sending more 'White fear' messages.

The far right have long paid to have convicted felons like Roger Stone come up with 'dirty trick' type messages to keep fear alive.

To keep fear alive Trump's personal storm troopers are seen waging war on American citizens so every day the 'silent majority' can find more reasons to be afraid.

In Trump's law and order campaign, how soon until he uses a tactic like some Russians did in 1999 and bomb apartment buildings.

How low will Trump and his fellow 'elite' go to keep him in power.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Bigots are never silent, they are loud and obnoxious.

There’s no silent majority for trump, just a small noisy minority!!!

13 ( +18 / -5 )

The so-called 'silent majority' is really the last desperate gasp of a failed campaign.

The reality is, the 'silent majority' is an old racial ghost, a dogwhistle in a lot of ways. Very rarely do progressives talk about the 'silent majority' (note before our Trump Brigade starts trotting out old opinions, etc from their favorite right wing news website, I said 'rarely').

It's what Jerry Falwell would try to conjure up to strike fear into the hearts of Republicans who were wavering on the demands of his Baptist Brigade.

It's the trope of old, blustering white men most of the time, to try and claim they still have power.

Truth is, there is no 'silent majority.' Especially in an election as noisy and contentious as this one.

The unsilent majority is going to be issuing a pink slip to Donald Trump on November 3, 2020. With a demand he vacate The People's House by January 20th.

At least Trump'll have plenty of time for golf then.

13 ( +18 / -5 )

It will be a great relief to be rid of this psychotic blowhard -- soon!

12 ( +17 / -5 )

There is no silent majority. We all want Trump out!

16 ( +21 / -5 )

Problem for Trump is, once out of office, he's exposed to lawsuits.

11 ( +15 / -4 )

100 days ahead of vote, Trump banks on 'silent majority'

It is probably there, seeing that Trump supporters are assaulted and ridiculed by mobs and in the media. If I was over there, I would hardly risk my job or teeth by saying I vote for Trump in public or to an opinion poll taker.

-14 ( +6 / -20 )

crackarphat

He's talking 'bout white women.53% voted for him the last time.

Would that be the white women who lead those Antifa riots in Portland?

-16 ( +4 / -20 )

Michael Machida

There is no silent majority. We all want Trump out!

That is what the world looks like in the echo chamber.

-14 ( +7 / -21 )

Don't worry guys. Trump passed a competency test by being able to point out an elephant.

That means he's perfectly fine of being competent to stand trial instead of pleading insanity defense.

So much winning!

12 ( +15 / -3 )

Dems have to regain the momentum that got them the House majority in 2018. They need to come out and vote like never before in history because if it's not an overwhelming, in your face, go home, bye Felicia outcome, trump and his supporters will not leave quietly. He's already setting the stage like a little spoiled brat saying that the umpire cheated even before the ball game started. Get used to watching those red neck SPECOPS wannabes in their cammies, they'll be out in force with all the Karens.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

That is what the world looks like in the echo chamber.

Believing that you have a huge pool of secret supporters out there when all evidence points to the contrary is what the world looks like in an echo chamber.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

He sure "Made America Great Again". History will record the Trump Presidency as, in his own 5th grade level words, "A Disaster, a Disaster".

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Trump win easy in november... Biden is´t good opponent.

-12 ( +5 / -17 )

@cracaphat

He's talking 'bout white women.53% voted for him the last time. And if they show the same ignorance in this election he'll win again.

I agree! As of late, he has been trying to court White Suburban women. He has been tweeting that Biden will destroy your neighborhoods.

If things get really bad!

I predict trump will pull a "Hail Mary" and throw Pence under the bus then replace him with Nikki Haley as a running mate. He wants to get those White women voters!

3 ( +5 / -2 )

sounds like a bunch of kids who watched the Netflix movie of a book trying to convince themselves that they can pass a college level exam about that book.

So what happened to the 63 million people who voted for Trump last time? Do you really think any large majority of them blames Trump, not China, for coronavirus?

Now how are the police voting this time? Black People whose businesses were burned down by Antifa/BLM? Hispanic people who dont like the Goya boycott? People who are tired of violence in Dem run cities? Suburban women who dont feel safe with riots? Black and Women who dont like Bidens sexual optics and racist comments?

The silent majority exists when you are only polling 24% Repub knowing turnout is 33% Repub.

The silent majority is when you claim Biden is winning 48-42 in your poll with 3% error and you are scared to ask who the other 10% are voting for, because you know.

-13 ( +5 / -18 )

President Donald Trump mounted a strident defense Sunday of his wavering reelection bid with 100 days to go in a campaign that has seen him underwater in the polls -- and banking on the "silent majority" he says will bring him victory.

Wavering? It's imploding - due to nothing else that Dear Donald's unhinged tweets and interviews....

Donald's Silent Majority is either all his supporters in the ICU on respirators that can't talk, or all the Russian trolls sitting behind their computers at the Internet Research Agency...

Open your eyes Trump supporters - Trump cancelling the Repub Convention was his admission that he's lost - its all over, done, finito...

Just admit it now and save yourself the humiliation in Nov...

I’ve really enjoyed the Trump freak show over the past few years.

I have some good news for you, Ah_so. You'll be able to enjoy it for another 4 years. :D

New polling of registered voters from three swing states released Sunday showed Trump trailing badly.

Brain-dead or just dead registered voters? Biden for president? Really?

Give me a break.

Meanwhile, Biden is running an unprecedented campaign from his Delaware home, with no rallies

He wouldn't be able to fill a high school gym even if he did have a rally. And he's leading in the polls? Give me a break.

-18 ( +3 / -21 )

in this cancel culture, one can also lose their job just for supporting our President.

So when someone unknown calls the house or your cell and says who are you voting for, the answer is either "Joe Biden" or "I dont know". sad it has to be that way, but latest polls say over 60% of Americans feel they cannot share their true political beliefs in public.

-12 ( +6 / -18 )

Open your eyes Trump supporters - Trump cancelling the Repub Convention was his admission that he's lost - its all over, done, finito...

Uh huh. And if he went ahead with it you'd be saying he doesn't care if people catch COVID-19 ( the virus from China ).

Admit it, lincolnman ( Tee-hee! ) no matter what Trump does he can't win with you.

Not that it matters. Tee hee!

-14 ( +2 / -16 )

Biden had a livestream the other day. 26 minutes in there were like 17 people still watching it.

even Dems/CNN are concerned about the lack of enthusiasm for Joe. Every single Biden voter has already made up their mind, because they are really anti-Trump voters to begin with. He will probably lose some voters over his VP pick, that will make some just stay home.

Anyone who says they are "undecided" by now, will have no problem voting for Trump based on economy.

-13 ( +5 / -18 )

Yes, this is the reality. Everyone knows it.

No worries, he's ahead in all the polls!

The covid-19 economic collapsed can't be fixed in 100 days.

The Democrats are banking on it!

-11 ( +5 / -16 )

Really? Well, the same "silent majority" confounded the pollsters and media in 1968, 1980 and 2016 and they will again in November.

Yup. Of course in all of those elections the incumbent party’s candidate lost. “Silent majorities” coalesce around opposition candidates, which Trump no longer is.

Open your eyes Trump supporters - Trump cancelling the Repub Convention was his admission that he's lost - its all over, done, finito...

So according to your logic, Trump cancels the Repub convention so HE and HIS supporters won't get COVID.....

Yet tells YOU to send YOUR kids back to school...

Pretty much says it all, doesn't it...

6 ( +10 / -4 )

the economy is about structure and policies. The policy and structure of the Trump economy got us to record unemployment and record stock market. None of those fundamentals have changed.

With Biden policies, the economic reaction is unknown, at best. Biden policies announced so far have a price tag of 10 TRILLION dollars. hows that for your national debt complaints against Trump?

-13 ( +4 / -17 )

The covid-19 economic collapsed can't be fixed in 100 days.

Should we be asking the question, why was the economic collapse allowed to happen.

Because Trump isn't a dictator? He left it up to the states to lock down or not?

As if the U.S. is the only country with economic problems caused by the virus from China and the lock downs.

-11 ( +5 / -16 )

Biden will win

That's what China is hoping. Think about that one.

-12 ( +7 / -19 )

From what I have seen by talking with my neighbors, a lot of them might sit this election out, rather than vote for Biden. It isn't that they dislike Biden, but they can't admit that Trump was a mistake.

What worries me the most is a repeat of 2016, in which the candidate with the most votes loses in the Electoral College.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

from the article

In the latest blow to his hopes to be returned to the White House on November 3, polls released Sunday showed his support cratering in three critical battleground states.

so I release the poll results mentioned, showing this isnt actually true and support is UP. Deleted here, ah well.

So yes, Silent majority. More Dems voting against Trump than for Biden. that doesnt bode well for Dem turnout when they have to go stand in line just to vote against someone. too much hassle.

-12 ( +4 / -16 )

Farmboy

Biden’s dog would win for sure, and Biden will win if he can say nothing for 100 days.

Bidens dog probably has more mental acuity than its owner. Seriously, even if you rabidly hate Trump, can you be comfortable having someone with clearly declining mental abilities in control of the nuclear button??

-8 ( +7 / -15 )

Seems Joe is "silent" too.

Just now on @FoxNews, Chris Wallace said he asked @JoeBiden for an interview but his team said he's "not available"

-7 ( +8 / -15 )

Thanks to the fortuitous confluence of covid and the incompetence of a mentally incapacitated incumbent, no candidate in history will have had an easier campaign for the WH than Biden who with his basement rope-a-dope will be spared, as befits his venerable years, the rigors of the road as he videos and zooms rings around the hapless bloviating windbag.

It's gonna take a miracle to save Trump, but, who knows, anything can happen in 3 months.

New polling of registered voters from three swing states released Sunday showed Trump trailing badly. -- article

The U.S. leftist news media did the same thing in the run up to our last general election. It polls registered voters versus likely voters and oversamples registered democrat voters.

The upcoming election in 100 days isn't about just voting for a democrat vs. republican. This is about choosing between liberty vs. anarchy. All American voters are watching the lawlessness, destruction and unchecked violence that is now taking place in democrat-controlled cities and states. Sincerely doubt voters from both parties want that to be "the new normal" for this country.

Look for President Trump to win at least 400 EC votes on Nov. 3rd.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

no one cares. this was an entire article several times last week where everyone who cared to discuss that, did.

Now, tell us, without dodging, about Trump wishing Ghislaine Maxwell "well"....

Another Red State trump needs to win is doing poorly under Republican leadership. The only support that trump has is from uneducated people, and those willing to exploit his presidency for personal gain.

trump will lose because many of the educated whites and Senior citizen whites who voted for trump no longer support him. Racist or not, their pockets are being hurt. His poor leadership has ruined the strong stable economy and Pandemic Response Team that Pres. Obama left him. Not to mention 150,000 + have died and cities are protesting across the country. The 11% unemployed with nothing else to do will be sure to go to the polls and vote him out.

@Black

there have been 7 other articles this months where you had the opportunity to discuss that topic to your hearts content. so how about the silent majority? is Trump really faltering in the polls as this article claims?

For a president that claimed not to really know Epstein, there surely are a lot of photos of them buddy-buddy including one of trump giving him a smooch on the cheek!

Birds of a feather, flock together!

7 ( +10 / -3 )

trump's economic plan has always been about supporting his rich friends and creating policies friendly for Russia and China.

That is coming to bite him now, so expect a mess for the next 6 months.

Recovery will happen only after Jan 2021.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Recovery will happen only after Jan 2021.

What's worrying is what he'll do between election day and inauguration day. He can and most likely will do a lot of damage and god knows who else he's going to pardon. The White House will need to be thoroughly fumigated before anyone else can move in. Check for bugs (both bed bugs and listening devices), pee patches, misplaced portraits of recent presidents and discarded empty cans of diet Coke. And get rid of the stench of hamberders.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I know this is stating the obvious, but I listened to a debate about Trump’s re-election chances and one key factor could be that his appeal as a ‘non-politician’ who will shake things up has obviously gone. He’s now been tested in office. The wall isn’t even approaching being complete, the debt is still rising, the swamp isn’t drained and he clearly didn’t hire only the best people when you look at the revolving door etc.

He’s now actually very predictable.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

he clearly didn’t hire only the best people when you look at the revolving door etc.

The best meant people less qualified for their positions than he is, and those people more likely to break laws on his behalf!

The so-called 'silent majority' is really the last desperate gasp of a failed campaign.

Definitely not last, in fact the opposite....

No, there are a lot of people of various ages that are tired of the civil unrest and the destruction these Democrats are allowing in their cities, a lot of people of all races (especially whites) that don’t want to argue or fight or want to deal with the repercussions of being politically honest. They don’t want to be hounded, harassed or bullied and there are a lot of them, how many, we don’t don’t know. But I meet people all the time (Americans expats as well in the States) that are polled or have told me in private they don’t like any of this and don’t approve of the way Democrats governor and run their cities.

It's what Jerry Falwell would try to conjure up to strike fear into the hearts of Republicans who were wavering on the demands of his Baptist Brigade.

What?

It's the trope of old, blustering white men most of the time, to try and claim they still have power.

Truth is, there is no 'silent majority.'

Actually, there is, there was one last time and I’ll tell you this. Biden will not get the votes of law enforcement, so that he can pretty much kiss goodbye and that’s a very huge crucial voting block for him.

Especially in an election as noisy and contentious as this one.

Precisely the reason and don’t forget the fascists and anarchists that want to dismantle our culture and history.

The unsilent majority is going to be issuing a pink slip to Donald Trump on November 3, 2020. With a demand he vacate The People's House by January 20th.

Doubt it.

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

Quick update. Trump is putting massive sanctions on both countries and threatening any allay that doesn’t do the same. His legacy will be that he is the one that started WW3.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Liberals always think their the smartest as if they are the only ones that know the difference between an anarchist and a fascist as if only they have the copyrights to understand what it means. That’s like saying what’s the difference between a White supremacist and a White Separatist. White supremacist, give me a break?

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

So many of the bad things that have happened while Trump has been in office have happened partly because Trump is in office. He's already forgotten about George Floyd and he's already given up on the pandemic. Now he only wants to stay in office so he can get 4 more years of immunity from prosecution and continue his golfing. He has played golf 10 times in the past month so he obviously knows what his priorities are and what he cares about. The US mistakenly gave him a chance and he has failed miserably.

His VP choice could make or break the deal. No matter who he chooses, it isn't going to make everybody happy. Former cop Demings and former CA attorney general/prosecutor are both unacceptable to the BLM activists. Elizabeth Warren is too far left for the average voter.

It remains to be seen whether the Silent Majority will look favourably on Biden's VP choice, whomever she will be.

All the shameful attacks on other countries, the toppling of foreign governments, the wars, the legacy of slavery and peonage, the hypocrisy, the lies... it's culminated in this still very young country electing a fascist and fraud.

Tear down the country, dismantle the union and start again. Create a genuinely free and equal country to inspire us and yourselves.

Quick update. Trump is putting massive sanctions on both countries and threatening any allay that doesn’t do the same. His legacy will be that he is the one that started WW3.

seeing that Trump supporters are assaulted and ridiculed by mobs and in the media.

Ridiculed? Of course they are. And rightly so.

Fascism should not be given an inch.

If one supports Trump - it follows that one is not interested in equality, truth and the dignity of fellow human beings.

Ridicule is the very least the rest of the world can do.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Trump's 11th hour bunker delusions of phantom divisions of "stormtrumpers" recruited from his raucous "silent majority" coming over the hill to rescue his sorry presidency are dissipating by the day in the cold light of his rival's climbing poll numbers. And even the mayhem caused by his dispatching federal agents to urban Democrat strongholds will eventually backfire. As a last resort, Trump is now looking to tear a page out of the Polish playbook of Andrzej Duda, leader of the illiberal, extreme right-wing PiS Party, who narrowly won the recent presidential election, squeaking in by distributing monetary incentives to his base of yokels: the "cunning plan" will liekewise be to give a second round of cash handouts to stimulate the economy and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

More of the "twin H's" from the Trump crowd - hilarity and hypocrisy....

First they tell us how "enthusiastic" Trump supporters are - they brag about how large the crowds are at his rallies and how many "attended" his inauguration....

Now, with every poll showing him losing across the board, they suddenly change that narrative to Trump's "silent majority",,,,,

Trump's silent minority are all the folks that attended his rallies or events since Feb that caught the virus as every medical professional said they would, and are now either dead or in the ICU...

And add to that all the disinfectant poisonings from his supporters following his "expert" medical advice...

6 ( +8 / -2 )

> All the shameful attacks on other countries, the toppling of foreign governments, the wars, the legacy of slavery and peonage, the hypocrisy, the lies... it's culminated in this still very young country electing a fascist and fraud.

This is why Biden will lose, can’t have anymore of this.

Trump and his rabid followers are a symptom of a greater malaise.

Not even close to the disastrous policies of what the liberals want to do to the country.

Tear down the country, dismantle the union and start again.

No, and thank God Trump has made sure to thwart these radicals and arresting them finally that are trying to dismantle the nation, enough already.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

Fascism should not be given an inch.

Neither should anarchism.

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

you seriously dont get it. Trump voters are enthusiastic to VOTE for him.

What we are not enthusiastic about is having supposedly tolerant Antifa/BLM dox us and show up at our homes trying to assault us. or at our jobs or on the internet trying to get us fired.

Like this guy who simply tweeted "Trump is our President":

https://wwjnewsradio.radio.com/articles/news/michigan-teacher-fired-for-tweeting-trump-is-our-president

Thus the silent majority. People who are going to vote for Trump but stay silent for numerous, valid reasons related to violence and cancel culture.

Nobody should be assaulted for supporting Trump. As for ridicule, you have to expect that when supporting someone like him. He is a ridiculous, comic figure. Many Trump supporters see this but prefer his policies over the alternative. Those defending the man himself are inviting ridicule.
