They deserved it.

As a matter of principle, I am against the death penalty, but in this case, I simply can't help but feel that the killers of that poor girl are getting exactly what they deserve.

No, he was sentenced to death along with the people he ordered to kill her.

Does the School principal get off scott free ?

This is Bangladesh - things don't exactly work like clockwork there. It was quite a victory that these killers were all arrested and convicted.

Horrible. And the usual, expected horrible responses.
Violence in response to violence is not the answer.

I hope they're executed the same way.

It took that long? I hope her family can find some closure and peace with these guys executions!

We will see if once the furore dies down if they get away with it or get reduced sentences. Probably depends on whether any come from wealthy or politically powerful families.
What happened to the Station Chief, had he dealt with the complaint properly this would not have happened, she would still be alive and 16 people wouldn’t be facing execution. His actions and failure of duty carry a heavy burden.

Not for all cases but if you (a group of SIXTEEN people), threaten a 19 y.o victim of sexual harassment, then tie her up and on top of that burn her alive, after which she still suffered for FIVE days before she died, this punishment is still too lenient in my opinion. Don't @ me.

Blood for blood. Good riddance to these scum.

Do you think all crime should be punished along a retributive framework?

I hope they get all parties involved. What happens to the teacher? Will he be prosecuted for the first crime or the second one?
Vince Black
This is how punishment should be dealt. No mercy and no compassion for the perpetrators, straight to their deserving deaths. Well done Bangladesh.

Good to see justice served in Bangladesh. I hope they can build on this.
