Maybe when both states have about 100k new homeless residents each, they’ll figure out that trolling one’s fellow states for clicks isn’t a very good idea politically or financially.

The same thing happens in Europe. Migrants accumulate in Southern European nations that cannot cope with the numbers (Greece had real problems), most of the countries away from the borders failing to take their fair share.

Politics aside, all US states need to pull their weight on taking a fair share of migrants. Presumably the states mentioned are giving them a nudge.

Given staff shortages impacting on the economy, migrant labour should be seen as a desirable resource. Biden's grand plan to spend billions rebuilding America (like every previous period of infrastructural development) isn't going to be possible without migrant labour. Capable labour is as important to the functioning of an economy as rare earth materials. And don't divide them between 'skilled' and 'unskilled', only snobbishly accepting those with degrees. The biggest shortfalls are in low-wage labour, usually termed 'unskilled'. You think it is unskilled? You try getting up before dawn and picking crops all day - see how long you last.

Congress needs to do their job. If there is no line in the sand, people will keep coming. Set an annual limit for all types of immigration. Break it down by original country, if they like. I don't care. Once the amount is reached, no mas. ZERO.

Don’t defect, the real cruelty is for this administration to route millions of illegals into the nation, not vetted, not screened or have their backgrounds checked, more and more people are dying each day, and this administration will not acknowledge the crisis at the border, so I think it’s doing it with Abbet is doing as well as DeSantis, and they should do more of this, maybe after they fled Martha’s Vineyard with illegals, then that just might get their attention to do something along the border.

I'm sure they will remember flying on a modern aircraft, temperature controlled, secure from being robbed or attacked. But I also think they will remember walking across Mexico through the Colorado River out in the elements, to get to the US border. Doubt they will be thinking of party lines.

My feelings on this are twofold. On the one hand, I think governor abbot is brilliant at bringing into relief the undeniable hypocrisy of the democrats. They were okay with hundreds swarming small towns in Texas and Arizona; but once 50 or so get into cities with millions, the dems freak out. But on the other hand, despite the integrity of the governors’ of Texas and Arizona, illegal arriving by the bus loads is still bad for the country. I blame Biden and his his miserable job on the border. But at least we get a good laugh at the dems for all the mess they put the country through.

And here we see a clear example of how Abbott and DeSantis have played and manipulated the MAGA-masses....
