War crimes.

17 ( +27 / -10 )

This war against the civilian population in Europe is barbaric and hard to believe from the point of view of a democratically oriented population. How can they attack the civilian population and a maternity and children's hospital, unbelievable. The East should also prepare itself against such a war, as there too states stand in front of democratically oriented nations with a hunger for land gain, similar to those in Europe. But economically strong states have advantages such as the USA and Europe, and many other countries, but we will withstand them economically. The future belongs to the economically strong countries anyway!

Cowardly attacks on children and women. But we expected no less from fascist Russia.

When Ukraine ultimately prevails - and they will, even if it takes years - the barbaric Russian commanders behind these war crimes - including little madman Putin - will face justice if they survive until then.

May the sanctions against Russia and Belarus crush them.

Russia and all of it's people should be ashamed of themselves

1 ( +16 / -15 )

Evil.

14 ( +22 / -8 )

War propaganda. Believing any unverifiable news like this from either side at this point is naive.

I am almost waiting for white helmets and incubator babies.

Can’t the Russians tell the difference between biological and chemical research labs and hospitals?

Diabolical!

11 ( +18 / -7 )

Well, that is one way to ensure the resolve of the Ukrainian resistance.

Chalk another one up for SMART BOMBS.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Pathetic people implying we have to choose side when innocents are killed.

We should all be on humanity side.

4 ( +11 / -7 )

Only just recently born and those about to be are targets of Russia and Putin. Enough said.

9 ( +15 / -6 )

Exactly how close does a bomb need to be to make it a hit? They show one hospital on the news and then the crator which is obviously not a direct hit but about 2 metres out.

Next question were the hospital the target or was something close to the hospital the target?

Next question has it been independantly confirmed to be a russian attack or are we as always relying on the word of its opponent?

Next question three hospitals and only (as of now) three deaths seems to indicate either they were not directly targeted or the hospitals were not being fully occupied. It is a war-crime to target hospitals but only if they are actually being used as hospitals and only if they were the intended target.

As for this genocide claim. Considering how many people are leaving the country I can not see that as the plan. Unllike China that is committing genocide but was still allowed to have the olympics and still has yet to be sanctioned for it.

Cowardly attacks on children and women. But we expected no less from fascist Russia.

I 100% agree!

The evil mass murderer Russian Mob, with an insane leader and all his supporters, must be stopped by all means and they must all taken into responsibility by paying the highest price!

If the world will not do it, God will do it!

@Nator

you already know the answers you want to have to your questions. No need to lose our time with you trying to explain some military facts and Putin's propaganda.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

@gakinotsukai

Maybe you would be kind enough to answer at least one of them with a link. I doubt you can for any of my quesions. It is not putin propaganda to ask if the hospital was functioning or not. It is not putin propaganda to ask if the hospital was the target. In fact that is exactly what the hague will have to ask to prove a case against putin.

-13 ( +5 / -18 )

Horrible war crimes. But at least the Russians haven’t used nuclear weapons against a civilian population…yet.

-5 ( +7 / -12 )

While Putin guards his personal life closely and has never publicly acknowledged own children, it’s well-known to many, his eldest daughter from his ex-wife, Mariya Putina Faassen is a pediatric endocrinologist in Russia.

Medical professionals across the world are pleading with her Mariya to speak to Putin and waiting for her to speak out against his actions.

4 ( +11 / -7 )

While all these defenseless women & innocent children are being killed, Putin’s long-time lover and the mother of 4 of his recent children, former Olympian Gold-medalist Alina Kabaeva, is believed to be hiding out with the 4 youngest of his children in a luxury estate in Switzerland, surrounded by a platoon of Putin’s personally chosen security. -

A clear war crime - Putin and his band of blood-thirsty murderers should be held accountable at the World Court, if they can somehow survive this debacle...

The Russian people should now be very worried - that Putin is bombing hospitals just shows how desperate he is - desperate enough to launch a "false flag" attack inside Russian and blame it on the Ukrainians or even the West...

Remember, he and his FSB cohorts staged a series of bombings in Russia and Dagestan in 1999 and blamed it on terrorists to consolidate his power...

I wouldn't be surprised if he used a radiological "dirty" bomb or chemical/biological weapons on his own people and then tried to blame it on Ukraine...

He is becoming more and more unstable - the worst is yet to come...

6 ( +13 / -7 )

I hope the sanctions choke the entire disgusting country of Russia into hell

-2 ( +8 / -10 )

Fighting over what? Dirt ! That’s all it is

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

Absolute tragedy and no excuse for this behaviour but where is the objective news that the Ukrainian army or militias were based in these hospitals??? That’s a war crime as well .There are UNHRC reports documenting such!

https://www.ohchr.org/Documents/Countries/UA/Ukraine_13th_HRMMU_Report_3March2016.pdf

page 11 #25 and 26… but I wouldn’t want to do the journalists job for them….

This latest development in the systematic destruction of Ukraine's cities, towns and villages with malice aforethought and the immense suffering to population caused by Putin's war of aggression override any conspiracy theories pointing fingers at the covert geopolitical machinations of NATO countries and their purported "puppet" comedian president of Ukraine. The thuggish nullity responsible for all this wanton carnage must be compelled to retreat by any means necessary. Putin's dream of becoming "Vladimir the Great", the architect of a glorious "Greater Russia" has instead made him the Russian monster who gave his Slav brothers and sisters a renewed pride in their identity as belonging to an independent Ukrainian nation with their own distinct language and culture. Oh, the irony of history and human folly!

@Dango

I used to work with a Romanian who was grew up under communism. She said the longest q was always for coffee. Something I have yet to see being sent to the Ukrainian soldiers. Plenty of nappies (bulky) and water (heavy) though.

Does anyone know what they are actually wanting on the front line apart from war-planes.

How many times has this scenario played itself out in history: An aggressive leader initiates a series of bold moves that begin by bringing him much power. Slowly, however, his power reaches a peak, and soon everything turns against him. His numerous enemies band together; trying to maintain his power, he exhausts himself going in this direction and inevitably he collapses. The reason for this pattern is that the aggressive person is rarely in full control. He cannot see more than a few moves ahead, cannot see the consequences of this bold move. Because he is constantly being forced to react to the moves of his ever growing list of enemies, and to the unforeseen consequences of his own rash actions, his aggressive energy is turned against him. Him is Putin.

@express sister

Because the BBC has for a long time not really reported the news factually. Many people in the UK do not bother to watch it anymore. Many will not watch ITV, CH4 or SKY either. News-media does need to be trusted and although I know we are livining with war-level propaganda if people just switch off becasue they feel they are not being told everything that will only help putin.

I read the RT headlines each day knowing full-well its bias and the only reason I am doing that because normally I have zero interest in RT is because all the other media is failing to be trustworthy.

The AP has sunk so low. why not get a comment from the Russia side about this hospital airstrike ? At least let them deny it or take responsibility for it.

Because they packed up and left Russia lest they get jailed for using the word "war" or "invasion", let alone bringing up this hospital bombing...

Victoria “cookies-n-coup” Nuland all but confirmed the presence of bio labs in Ukraine.

Fake news....prelude to false flag attack in Russia...

https://www.reuters.com/world/russia-demands-us-explain-biological-programme-ukraine-2022-03-09/

I have to say though, we get a lot more pics from Russia bombing hospitals than when the US bombs hospitals.

If that comment doesn't make this poster's nationality known nothing will....

1 ( +6 / -5 )

must be stopped by all means

While I completely understand this sentiment, the reality of the situation needs to be considered. As hard as it is to watch what is happening in Ukraine, the world needs cool heads right now. You can't just say do anything and everything to stop Putin. That implies military engagement from Nato. That is a fast track to nuclear war. Then we're all screwed. There are other ways, unfortunately for the Ukrainians (and the Russian's who don't want this war), there are no "good" options.

This is a good article from the BBC covering different ways this might end:

why not get a comment from the Russia side about this hospital airstrike ? At least let them deny it or take responsibility for it.

According to the BBC, Russia insists Ukrainian fighters had moved staff and patients out of the hospital and set up firing positions there.

Sounds like an attempt at justification Yeah, we did it, because.....

Ignoring the fact that there would be no Ukrainian fighters moving anything anywhere if Mad Vlad hadn't invaded a sovereign country.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Have you seen the protests? Not all Russians support this.

Because they are scared to be arrested and send into a Gulag somewhere in Syberia!

Rotten and forgotten for the rest of their lifes.

The EU has voted to sanction Poland and Hungary for past indescretions. You would think they had more sense than to decide on something now when Poland has taken in more than a million refugeess on behalf of Europe. Hungary has also done its bit.

The world is being run by some very odd people.

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

A deliberate attack on a maternity hospital? Disgusting is nowhere near a strong enough adjective to describe this latest attack.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

There is no depth to the depravity to which Putin and his acolytes will stoop - totally innocent men, women and children's lives being devastated by this extremely abhorrent so-called 'special operation'....... What sort of ultra-sadistic leader represents the Russian people now, Putin is either totally mentally unstable or is the pure incarnation of evil.

The intervention of the UN Peace-keeping Forces are urgently required to de-escalate the potentially apocalyptic consequences of any further actions, in the same way they had to intercede in the Balkans during the 1990's, which eventually paved the way for peace to be restored there.

Sadly, the only way the Russians can be stopped is when their collective realisation dawns on them that their evil leader has become Hitler, and they will ultimately turn on him to take him down. The only other option of WorldWar3 doesn't bear even thinking about.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Absolute tragedy and no excuse for this behaviour but where is the objective news that the Ukrainian army or militias were based in these hospitals??? That’s a war crime as well

Injured soldiers being taken to the nearest medical facility for help with injuries does not constitute them being based there. Fellow soldiers visiting to check their status is also not "basing" military units there. This is a war and people get killed and injured and need medical help. If they can not go to a hospital, where do you suggest they seek help? The local veterinarian?

Get real unless you want the west to accuse Russia of militarization at the hospitals their solders get medical attention at.

Seriously, any half backed excuse to fire at medical facilities is being used by Russia. And some silly posters have no idea at all.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Despicable. It’s like Aleppo all over again. The only thing missing are those dreadful toxic chlorine bombs.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Does anyone know what they are actually wanting on the front line apart from war-planes.

Warm clothes, rations, fresh water, ammunition and military equipment like binoculars, body armor, night vision equipment, recon drones, the list is extensive but the first four items mentioned are necessities.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Ukraine refuse to submit while the West supply it with weapons. Russia refuse to back down and will take it no matter the cost. They are too deep in to just back off. This whole thing is gonna be turn into a meat grinder.

I know many ukrainians might feel sad and anger over this, but maybe they should just surrender. Europe and US has already abandon them anyway and would not dare to start a war with Russia. So why not just surrender? At least this way the war will stop. And is it truly worse to be under their control? All Russia want is to secure their borders from NATO expansion. Even if they took Ukraine, except some bit of inconvenience, i don't think it can get worse anyway. Nothing happen to Crimea after it was annexed. The west only had themselves to blame for this because they aren't willing to bleed for Ukraine.

People need to stop deluding themselves. The whole thing is gonna get a lot worse the more time past by. Russia is determined to take it and so far their action is already considered mild. But the more you drag it, the harder they are gonna hit. Soon they will truly bring out the real big guns and then you will seen what kind of horror modern weapons can do to cities. This isn't like the war from the WW2 era. These days the real lethal weapon from the modern era is gonna make the war from decades ago look like child's play.
