Bigots and misogynist totalitarians.
"Don't call us intolerant and violent, or we will destroy your houses of worship and kill you!"

I wish they would explain that to other terrorist groups working in Asia. Seems just about every attack recently in Pakistan was on a Mosque. There is hope for Malaysia if the majority can stand up and publicly deny the crazy minority. They could even set a good example that may go some way to countering the deafening silence we hear from most Muslim authorities regarding the current 'kill anyone who doesnt agree with us' attitude from some groups.

Why don't they report all the firebomb attacks on the mosques there?
Oh, wait, maybe there aren't any...
So who are the aggressors then, and who are the persecuted? Hmmm... the extremist indoctrination DVDs must be wrong.

You obviously haven't been to the US, Iraq, UK and Switzerland? You should ask that question after visiting those places and I bet the answer is different.

biglittleman, my best friend in London is Muslim and his mates are my mates. Sure there are a lot of jokes, (which I do not take part in) but they are not persecuted in any way. Generally the British have been pretty tolerant of each other. In some communities there is racial and religious intolerance, I agree, and potential for nastiness.
I was interested to read on Al Jazeera that the authorities are treaing these attacks as 'racist' or just 'pranks'.
Quote: "Four churches in the Kuala Lumpur area have been hit by firebombs since Friday, leaving one badly damaged with its ground floor gutted, and prompting Najib Razak, the prime minister, to promise to crack down on race crime.
Hermen Shastri, secretary-general of the Council of Churches, said officials had stepped up security in the wake of the attacks.
"The attacks show they are more just a prank as it does not appear to be a major [attack], someone is trying to send a signal that they are unhappy," he said.

Malaysia, malaysia... What are you doing? Last year, it was marching around with cow heads to upset the Indians. Now it's the Allah thing with the Christians.
What's going on in the self-proclaimed 'best example of a moderate muslim country'?

Malaysia, Truly Asia??? I think not. Malaysia is fast becoming an extreme Islamist, intolerant nation. I fear it wont be too long until the growing numbers of Christians there will be ruthlessly persecuted. Its already starting. Will we hear anything from the United Nations about this state of affairs? Of course not. The UN should be disbanded - its well past its sell-by date. They never speak out against anything that fanatical Islamists do.

Islam has toxic defects.

The minority Christian population is responsible for creating much of the wealth in Malaysia. The Muslims best be careful.

Just cause your friends have not experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I have Black friends in the US who have never experienced racism. Does that mean that Blacks do not experience racism in the US and other countries? The same kind of attacks reported in this article are also being reported in the countries I mentioned against the smaller Muslim population. I can name other countries where even worst attacks have taking place. Do really believe Muslims are not at all being persecuted in Christian countries?
You are seeing only what you want to see.

Allah = God = Yahweh = Nothing at all. Why all the anger about which word should be used to describe something that does not exist? I think the word "Nothing" should be used instead. "Nothing be praised", "In Nothing we trust" etc.

biglittleman, I never mentioned Christianity.
In my opinion, in 97% of the world there is no problem among different peoples towards Muslims/Islam.
There are instances, however, where Islam feels particulalry threatened. In India, for example, there has been strife between the Hindus and Muslims, and the Muslims have felt oppressed there. In parts of Russia, there is armed struggle to fight back against perceived repression of Muslims, as also in the Uighur areas of west China. The south of Thailand comes to mind too, as do some areas of the Philippines.
To say that Islam is persecuted throughout the world is not true at all.

Not a single post by the JT progressives condemning this attack. Predictable.
