As the world watches and thinks that the Olympics will be a road to peace.

The precedent has already been set internationally that if a protester attempts to disrupt the proceedings of government, that lethal force is justified.

I don't agree with that, but regrettably, the precedent has been set.

Yeah, thousands of years ago and repeated in every country in every generation.

Nice try though.

Happened in the US, an unarmed woman, a war vet, shot in the face and died. You can watch the video on the internet.

Chinese military should teach the Burmese army about restraint

No mention of how many Rophongi were murdered on her orders. I think it was more than 40?

It varies each time. Shot in the back, neck, face...

I think you’ll find lethal force against trespassers, especially aggressive ones is usually justified in the US. Yeah, really.

Definition of Myanmar government is vary. It should be according the constitution of Myanmar. Armforces are public servants for serving Tax paying people who have employed to them.

"The precedent has already been set internationally that if a protester attempts to disrupt the proceedings of government, that lethal force is justified."

Above sentence was Medieval ideology back in the feudal society of Japan. Warlords did not have decent or moral or legal obligations. Unification of ancient Japan was justified with Son killing father. Brother killing father. Childern and women of opponents were beheaded for wiping out the blood lines. It was the game of throne using excessive force for domination. Conqueror Shogun had freedom for killing spree. Killing opponents in battle was justified. Killing unarmed civilians was babaric atrocities even in medieval era.

Myanmar is same as Medieval era of Japan which warlords are dominating with leathel force. Difference is they are not using Katana swords. There is no legal licence for any warlord has freedom for slaughtering unarmed protesters. Stability should not be justified with brutal oppression and so much blood sheds. Power does not come from bullets.

Myanmar Miltary is not real government. They toppled legal institutional government with coup. Same as Syrian Rebels tried to over thrown the Syrian government. Putin has saved real Syrian government.

You know, while all these deaths are really tragic, hey, it's just par for the course for any "Cabinet Reshuffle" (the Chinese preferred euphemism to term this outright coup.) -Sigh. Sarcasm off.

I love Myanmar, and am really saddened to see the country take such a giant step backwards like this. But then again, all you have to do is look at neighboring "democracy" Thailand (run by generals since a coup in 2014), or the "democracy" in Cambodia (run by the same man/party since the end of the 1970s), or how about the "Socialist" Republic of Vietnam (run as a one-party dictatorship) to discover how well Democracy truly flourishes in the region, or rather, fails to flourish...

There's a difference between a father protecting his home from an intruder at night than a trained professional security officer shooting a protestor in broad daylight on public property.

It wasn’t public property and she was forcing entry. Time of day doesn’t matter.

How many lives of Citizens of Myanmar has to sacrifice to gain freedom?

Its time not only Quad members but every country must stand together against the global threat China. How much genocide CCP will spread in Myanmar. What about their basic human rights what about their right to live? They are being killed out on street we must stand to stop the common enemy and stop the common enemy.
