Questioning 4000 is being thorough and transparent. What would a 'police state' do? Imprison all of them without legal representation? Only less than 30 are now being charged in court after the questionings to ascertain whom the rioters were. Little India is a favorite hangout for these workers and many liquor shops sprang up. So on Sundays these workers gather & drink around here and it is no surprise many are tipsy or drunk. In fact the man who was knocked down by the bus was drunk and was asked to get of the bus. He then chased the bus and was run over the rear left wheel as the bus was turning.

Good, hope they ship all 4000 out of the country... there is no shortage of construction labor force... if you come to work to foreign country cause of better paying conditions and dont like it... then just go back home.. riots should be totally unacceptable, they are not citizens, and should not have the same speech force

400 involved in rioting and 4000 questioned. Singapore seems to be a police state.

Singapore has to understand that it would be NO WHERE without the HARD WORKING poor, underclass Indians, Malaysians, Brits etc...they need to be taught to have some appreciation!!
