There's a good old Australian name, NOT! It doesn't say if he was an Australian citizen though. My guess is he is one the recent beneficiaries of Australia's Open Immigration policy.

Some more info on him and his sentence:

Disgusting human beings!

Glad to hear of their demise. In a perfect world, the gallows would beckon. These are amongst the lowest of the low.

@Yubaru

And you are of aware of this why?

It is not illegal or necessarily wrong for adults to visit and sometimes purchase items from adult stores.

Even an anonymous phone call to the police, as child porn is ILLEGAL here in Japan.

If you actually read the article Silva posted, you would get your answer instead jumping to illogical conclusion.

Human Rights Now, a Tokyo-based campaign group, said in a report that DVDs clearly marked as child porn continue to be “openly and widely distributed, displayed and sold at stores, and released on the internet”.

During a year of field research, the group found numerous DVDs – either actual or suspected child porn – at stores in Tokyo’s famous Akihabara electronics district.

And here is where it gets interesting.

Police rarely investigate pornographers who appear to hire children, claiming they cannot confirm the ages of those appearing in videos, according to the report.

> Campaigners in the report condemned that stance, saying police should make the eradication of child porn a top priority.

> Japan’s National Police Agency had no immediate comment on the report.

You are welcome!

@Yubaru

And you are of aware of this why? I mean, any adult that sees shite like that and does not report it to the proper authorities is in effect condoning the behavior indirectly.

Even an anonymous phone call to the police, as child porn is ILLEGAL here in Japan.

How would you know what I did or did not do?

Child pornography is still widely available in Japan, a year after it was criminalized

Good for Interpol! These vile sub-humans should be tossed into the darkest, vermin infected cells available and never allowed to see the light of day. Any Japanese involved in this? Just asking.

If you visit some of the adult video stores in Tokyo, in the furthest part of the store, you will generally still find magazines of completely naked prepubescent asian girls like elementary school girls. I wonder how many suspects in this story are Japanese.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a pedophile ring here. Unfortunately, the J-police are either to incompetent or complacent to really do something about it. There is not much enforcement in Japan.

I remember a JT article a few years back about a school administrator in Kanagawa? Who had made tons of pedophilia material with small girls on video from his trips to the Philippines over a number of years.

Good work! Thank you for saving these kids.

and another administrator, Ruecha Tokputza, was captured in Australia.

It is great to see this ring broken up regardless of ethnicity. Love those prison sentences too. The ring leader got 146 years in Thailand. The other creep got 40 years in Australia. I know 'kiddy fiddlers' get special treatment from the other inmates in Australian prisons. I also agree with the above comment that every one of the registered users needs to be rounded and jailed as well. Sadly though, I fear this is not the only group of child porn promoters.

It's quite sad that peddling child porn only became illegal less than ten years ago in Japan. However, it's still legal to possess it. But, those sick comics depicting children in sexual acts including rape, torture, incest and sodomy are still freely available in japan to any perverted nutcase that wants to buy them. One of the popular ones is called, Sister Sister, which has a set of 15 year old female twins doing all sorts of things to each other and groups of men. It is seriously perverted and frighteningly popular. My Mrs works for the publishing company that prints this filth. It's one of the largest publishing companies in Japan, but they print this guff as well. Japan really needs to lift its game in this area. They are not artistic expression. They are sick and perverted comics promoting the sexual abuse of children.

One of the most unpublicized successes of Trump’s administration has been the arrest and prosecution of hundreds of pedophiles, both domestic and international. For whatever reason the previous administration hadn’t put as much priority on it.

Operation Blackwrist? Still, I applaud the hard work and the initial results.

International police group Interpol said Thursday that nine people had been arrested in Thailand, Australia and the U.S. and 50 children had been rescued after investigators took down an online pedophilia ring.

More arrests were expected as police in nearly 60 countries pursue investigations stemming from an Interpol operation launched two years ago into a hidden "dark web" site with 63,000 users worldwide.

Looks like another 62,291 people should be tossed away as well!

About as sick as humans can get. Good to see the jail sentences are up there with multiple murder sentences.

Horrifying!! I hope they catch as many of these sickos as possible!

Nice work, Interpol. Now, let's convict these repugnant people and put them in general population at an American prison.
