In less than 1 day, authorities have determined the root cause of the attack? Really? Answers are seldom that simple to determine.

This is China. The truth is whatever they say it is.

But the good news is that this is China, where justice is swift and brutal.

Justice is inherently slow because it seeks the truth.

Sad stuff all round on this one......

Because his parents divorced during his childhood, the lack of family warmth resulted in psychological distortion

Well, I don't want to summarily dismiss that but it sounds way too over-simplified. Its not divorce that messes kids, especially boys, up, its the lack of a father figure around. Boys badly need proper guidance and without it, yes, their lives will suck and they are likely to lash out. Its precious few women I have met who understand that. They so often ruin their boys thinking a mother's love is enough. Its not. Its not remotely. Boys have some intense impulses and/or fewer natural controls on them and that's why 90 percent of criminals are male. They need to be raised right and divorce is generally the first step on a bad road, the exception being when its to get a child away from a bad influence.

I hope the kids recover soon.

If you think attacking young children is the answer to whatever problems you had, then you need to be locked up forever.

My parents divorced when I was a child too. As did my mother's 2nd marriage. I've never felt that society was to blame, especially kindergarteners! Put this sicko in a solitary cell for life!

Only good news from those who get off on executions and suchlike. There needs to be research and a lot of soul-searching about what causes such random acts of senseless violence in societies.

Motivation seems a bit suspect but you never know what goes on in people’s heads. Thank god he didn’t have an automatic weapon!

They will undoubtedly carry out quick state murder on him but that is hardly the answer as it has singularly failed to stop him or many others from attacking children. It merely covers up or ignores any attempt to determine and resolve the root causes of this pattern of behaviour.

China is supposed to be a communist 'utopia' where everything is OK thanks to the teachings of Murderer Mao, right?

China is not a communist state. It may have communism in the name, but it's far removed from the ideology.

You'd think China is still in the dark ages from the comments on here.....

In some ways, it still is.

Surprising that this has even gotten out. China is supposed to be a communist 'utopia' where everything is OK thanks to the teachings of Murderer Mao, right?

Some things are just incomprehensible.

His parents got divorced so he decided to attack a kindergarten with deadly chemicals. What a lame excuse. He's just stone crazy. But the good news is that this is China, where justice is swift and brutal.
