Sadly, there's no way to hold the government accountable in China because again everything is corrupt and it's obvious that their system of quality control is questionable? No it's just poor. It's the evidence that demonstrates a truth and as the articles indicates " 54 bullet trains recalled over flaws" What next?

Earlier when they discovered corruption, the reaction was to reduce the max allowed speed of the trains to 300 Kph. Sadly, it took many deaths to reduce the max speed to zero kph.

China, "those that never failed, never tried". There's no shame in failure. There's only shame when you try to make yourselves out to be something that you're not (perfect), and then try to cover it up when you actually do fail.
