I am sad to read of this. May God rest the souls of the victims and comfort the hearts of their grieving families and friends.

Overloaded. Time and again, this is the key word. Greedy corporate owners are universal.

Overloaded. Time and again, this is the key word. Greedy corporate owners are universal.

The individual operator of this particular ferry is at fault, but it is not rational to say that this sort of negligence is "universal" among "greedy corporate owners."

Despite popular leftist myth, most "corporate owners" are not greedy bastards who are out to screw the public. Profits are made by serving people's needs and wants, and people who have certain needs and wants fulfill them by turning to organizations who are willing and able to fill them. And they make a profit by doing so. Everybody is happy.

This idea that "greedy corporate owners" don't care about the people they serve, and that this lack of care is "universal," is absurd. The vast majority of business owners treat their customers like gold. They wouldn't have any customers anymore if they didn't.

Yes, there are some individual cases where such owners act negligently, and they should be held accountable for it. But the vast majority of them do not.

It's unacceptable to exploit a tragedy like this in order to push some wider ideological point.

I forgot to put the first line as a "quote" ... sorry.

Thanks for your lengthy defence of business owners. You forgot to think of all those who perished in Mosul in a terrible accident caused by someone who put greed before safety.

I guess those are your priorities.

RIP to the victims and shame on those who would seek to defend the indefensible after such a tragedy.
