Released? That doesn't seem right. Felon with a firearm should get automatic jail time. Not having trigger locks - 1 yr. Storing a loaded firearm where a minor can access it - 1 yr.
I hope the woman is smart enough to dump this loser.

That's the spirit. And to be clear, the toddler's lack of clear distinction between right and wrong would make them truly effective, fearsome protectors.

But the "pro-life" medievals want everyone to have guns, no matter that tragedies like this happen..
"Pro-life", what a hypocritically pathetic joke..

Well, its clear we have a huge problem in America - a problem that needs urgent action - one that clearly requires a firm government response...
Lack of child gun training - this only happened because none of these children had "Children's Firearm Training"....
Yes, any child over two years old that can line up a target needs training...
And what are our educators and teachers doing? Nothing except complaining about school violence...just a bunch of woke Libs... Gun training in our classrooms, not CRT!
This is not a gun problem, it's a training problem...
Save our kids - give them guns AND training...

But it might as well be. According to one study, an estimated 4.6 million American children - one in three households - reside in a house where at least one gun is kept loaded and unlocked. Apparently, a question one parent asks another before allowing little Johnny to go over and play is, "Do you keep a gun?"

This has been a problem for a very long time. Queensryche wrote a song detailing this back in 1990.
And they love violence on TV and 'rah-rah' all our wars, never mind if they're legit or not or what they do to soldiers.
'Pro-life' my ass. 'Pro-birth' maybe but they sure don't care about life once it begins.

Or you know, your society.

Dang straight - we are "pro-life"....
And now that we have that evil Roe vs Wade decision out of the way, we can start fixing this problem of child gun violence - we can start training them on guns in the womb....
That's right - use ultrasound speakers to pipe NRA gun training right into the mother's stomach...
Teach those kids to "lock and load" before they slide down the birth canal...
That will fix this problem...

Americans want guns and this is what they are designed to do.

The father is a felon, prohibited from purchasing firearms. Obviously his handgun is an illegal one. Criminals in every country buy guns illegally. Gun was kept loaded because he was in the drug business.
This is not the same issue as the many legally owned guns in the U.S.

These rare tragedies are very sad, and hopefully people will be more aware of providing safety for their children in everyday matters such as driving cars, taking baths, giving prescription drugs to children.
