“The most important issue is for us to set aside our personal differences that we have with each other,” said Eboni Price, 29, who rode her horse Moon to her polling place in a northwest Houston neighborhood.

This is the true test for the people of the US...

I like Trump. He is tough and strong.

-15 ( +12 / -27 )

We may not know the result till a week or two later. Or never.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Adios Trump.

If Trump truly cared about the presidency he would have started campaigning a long time ago instead of wasting time trading insults with his imaginary foes on social media. Too little too late Trump.

With the strong showing of early voters, people were either so crazy about Trump that they couldn't wait to vote for him or they hate him so much that they can't wait to see him go.

Considering Trump's mishandling of the Coronavirus pandemic and the high unemployment rates (among other things), it's probably the latter.

A Blue Tsunami could be coming.

Crazy thing to say, I know but... everybody, be safe!

Personality is very important for leaders. Trump is distinct while Biden equivocal.

I just want this circus nightmare to be over. These two worse candidates in US history are only surpassed by the two worst than worse candidates in 2016.

Seems most people voted early. This after noon, TV news had lots of precincts with no lines, no waiting to vote. A few that opened late due to a moving company failure, they didn't deliver the equipment per contract yesterday, but some poll workers made it happen overnight, the those precincts still opened a little late, so a judge has ordered them to stay open late. Another precinct opened late because the guy with the keys to the door overslept. The news said he was there working until 2am doing prep work for today and didn't get back by 6am this morning. Human failures for the most part.

Of course, one candidate is claiming voter suppression. It needs to be investigated, but if there aren't any lines all after noon, I don't see it.

My precinct building was moved due to hurricane damage. This was announced, but lots of people may not have seen that. The precinct was moved across a divided road to a different church which serves as another voting precinct. Until 10 yrs ago, these were combined into one precinct.

Anyways, some results should start in about an 90 minutes here, but it will be a few days before the absentee ballots are all counted if it is close for any races.

Election results by state: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/election-results-timing/

with timings for poll closings. No results for a state can be released until the polls in that state are close, in general. So, some polls have been ordered by a judge to stay open 30 minutes longer, so I think counts statewide won't be announced until after that last poll closes.

But who knows? Every state has odd election laws. Some states have been counting mail-in ballots for a few weeks, others aren't allowed to open any until tonight. Different laws.

It’s time to “Make the United States of America Sane Again”.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Hopefully Trump will stay and America can go back to business

-13 ( +6 / -19 )

Let's just hope that the real winner is decided by voting, not stealing elections via the courts.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

“Winning is easy,” Trump told reporters. “Losing is never easy, not for me it’s not.”

He knows already. Say goodbye graciously.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

I think the massive turnout could be the biggest factor here.

New voters are more likely to vote Democrat. They tend to be the young and ethnic minorities.

It may be the case that that the majority for Biden is actually far larger than the polls predict as a result.

One thing that I'm pretty comfortable of is that there will be no Trump landslide.

4 more years for President Trump! Listening to biden talk just makes me laugh, a comedy show!

After "I love you", the three sweetest words in the English language will soon be "You're fired!"

The WWF style of talking by Trump would make me laugh it were not for people believing him. Sad.

We can only hope that the voter suppression orchestrated by Trump and the GoP does not have an effect.

Trump has been thwarted on a few lines of attack that mirrored his win in 2016. He wanted an investigation of Biden (similar to Clinton) to draw attention, and efforts on that line have failed. Russia has been less successful with polluting opinions with disinformation. Still, Trump has been full on with his own misinformation campaigns in the form of outright lies.

Trump or Biden?

Trump!

Oh well, Trump had 4 years to learn from his mistakes .....

.... but I doubt he was able or even willing to learn.

Give him another 4 years and everything will look even worse.

He's not gonna change. He quit maturing when he was in elementary school, before he turned 10. And people like him don't learn from their 'mistakes' because they believe they never make any. Another reason why he's not fit to govern a garbage can.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Two thirds say they want another choice. Democracy in reality.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

It’s important to remember that we’re not just kicking out trump, we are also getting rid of bigotry and misogyny that came with him.

Each one of his enablers, people who took cover of his bigotry to advance their own agendas should be made to pay.

trump is just a symptom, the disease has penetrated much deeper and needs to be eradicated!!!

2 ( +7 / -5 )

It’s cute that trump decided to use his final campaign speech reading a list of his favourite Fox announcers.

I didn’t have time to hear them all, is the full list on his campaign policy website?

Obviously Biden is no Obama or Clinton oratory-wise, but you don't think, after listening to Trump talk, that he's a rambling, semi-coherent narcissist, carried away with his delusions of greatness and paranoia?

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

Biden will never win, even he doesn't believe it. Talk about a guy with no passion or belief in himself. Joe Biden does not deserve to be the President.

-3 ( +9 / -12 )

The WWF style of talking by Trump would make me laugh it were not for people believing him.

Comparing Donald Trump speeches to WWF style promos is an insult to men like The Rock.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

It’s time to “Make the United States of America Sane Again”.

The USA has never been sane, she has always been a renegade country. The USA does not want to be Europe, that is why the election is so important. TRUMP wants to keep the USA's identity. In a way it is just like Japan, some people really like Japan some people don't. Japan and the USA have there own system and the rest of the world doesn't like it.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

Biden definetly doesn't see the light on the hill....

0 ( +7 / -7 )

With any luck, we’ll know Trump will be gone in January.

Luck has always been on Trump's side. MAGA2020!

-1 ( +8 / -9 )

4 more years.

Trump/Pence.

MAGA-A.

-3 ( +7 / -10 )

MAGA 2020!

-2 ( +8 / -10 )

How can there be so many millions of idiots in America to vote for Trump. I always thought good of Americans but for so many to vote for Trump, not once but twice that just defies belief. I really hope that enough people wake up and vote against him this election. The US and the world needs a real leader, not a selfish hack that only care about himself and lives by lies. Perhaps this shows that many Americans prefer to be told lies than hear the truth.

Got a bad feeling about this that wont go away. I hope I am wrong and people vote for truth and justice and science.

Go Biden!

Not looking good for Trump, already down 8-16 in electoral vote.

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

So he has had 4 years to make American great again and yet it's pretty much fallen apart...hhmmm was this just a practice run ?

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Looks like Trump is favourite to hold onto Florida. Been looking that way for a few days, but not required to see the Democrats win.

On the monitor, Biden wins Virginia (13 Votes)

@ foreignbrotherhoodarmy

The United States of America, whether you like or hate, is in the process of electing the next President of the United States of America (POTUS), not the next President of America (POA) ... America is not a country (it’s the name of the continent) and does not have the Office of President.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

looking great for Trump so far!

0 ( +6 / -6 )

Mitch won, so that’s something not surprising

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Increasingly likely that Trump will get Florida.

Good news!

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Trump is down 56 to 91 in electoral votes, and the gap is widening.

Sorry folks, stick a fork in Trump.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Trump wins Kentucky and West Virginia - Donald Trump wins South Carolina.
