Couldn't you find a map showing the location of the city of Mosul?
Minikaeru
God this is horrible, deaths into the triple digits because of corruption, and in a celebration to make it even more tragic
diagonalslip
you can probably find one on the interweb.....

Yes, I can but I know where Mosul is, in fact I was there 45 years ago.
The article is about a tragedy in Mosul, a good journalist or editor would have included a map showing its location with the article.

What kind of idiot shoots off fireworks indoors?
CuteUsagi
I think it was terrorists from what other news sources have written.

But The Associated Press is sure it was fireworks

Whatever source this is is jumping the gun.

Sad and tragic. Two people united by love and marriage for life may be united forever in death. Just as they celebrated their union.

This one must mess with a lot of white christian nationalists' heads. The victims are middle-eastern... but they're Christian.

I viewed a video of the wedding just by chance plus I am reading comments blaming corrupt construction deals, USA occupation and local terrorist. Getting back to the video, at the start it was a close up of some fireworks going off as the camera pan backwards I noticed it was on a dressed table panting backing more I noticed it was inside a building. Now the video got my full attention and the celling slowing erupts with flames running fast across the undercelling. This is over a few second and my first thought was not corrupt construction but what complete idiot would set up a fireworks display inside a building with a three meter celling high. Now I wonder about the deaths the video scene, the person who captured the video and how fast the video was copyrighted to major media. I suppose the hired photographer had to make money out of a jig gone wrong. Or is the photographer a maggot. A good look at social from just a glimp of a video
