Love how Xi is 'lashing out' by pointing out that the majority of the issues that Biden was posturing for the camera about fall under the 'internal matters' blanket that Biden would throw (with full media cooperation) if Xi decided to criticize the US for women's lack of access to medical care in Texas (human rights issue), the US treatment of Puerto Rico.

Let's remember which country is bombing civilians in the Middle East (then covering it up, then excusing itself) supportingApartheid, promoting racist/nationalist hatred myths, has the highest per capita carbon footprint both accumulatively and annually, is actively blocking countries from buying vaccine...

while I’m talking about something new. Biden is indeed Xi’s old friend, he happily accepted that characterization of their relationship with no push back at all.

Trump said "he's great" and admires Xi for being President for life, i.e., a "dictator"....you agree with Trump? Yes or no...

The Trump family is one of the CCP's biggest investors - no wonder he bends over and praises him....

And the Biden family and the CCP?

"But What About" - Thanks for agreeing with me. Enjoy wearing your Chinese-made Trump Collection clothes....

All the acrimony and accusation on both sides in the leader's political speeches is just pandering for the tribalism of certain segments of their populations. The real workings of the China-US relationship is financial and corporate and all the talk is distraction, as the elites in both countries are busy increasing their wealth and authority.

Trampling on human rights, exploiting workers, appropriating the resources of other nations, polluting the planet: these are just the unacceptable acts of the other side. Yeah right.

Yeah Trump was just being "cordial" when he said that.

Joe didn't feel threatened though--he's treated China like family for decades

Thankfully, Trump treated China like the funny uncle who needs to be tolerated, but only strong-arm techniques would work in preventing him from acting funny towards that member.

Trump treated Xi like the long-term business partner he is to him....he gives the CCP millions each year, and continues to this day, to make his Trump Collection clothing line in their sweatshop factories...

Just watch him being humiliated...

And then there's Ivanka's Chinese-made shoes and handbags....before her company went bankrupt (those Trump kids really take after their Dad)....

The Trump family is one of the CCP's biggest investors - no wonder he bends over and praises him....

“He’s now president for life, president for life. And he’s great,” Trump said, “And look, he was able to do that. I think it’s great.

Now that's admiration...

yeah Trump was just being "cordial" when he said that.

Same as its claimed for Biden happily accepting being called Xi's old friend, just being "cordial"

After all, "I've travelled 17,000 miles with Xi", said Biden.

I imagine Putin was in a jealous rage when he heard these....

"Xi calls Biden 'my old friend' after US president had insisted they were not close

Xi’s choice of words to describe the relationship also contradicted what Psaki had said earlier the same day."

Well, look at that.

Indeed, look a that....

“One of the many great things about our just signed giant Trade Deal with China is that it will bring both the USA & China closer together in so many other ways. Terrific working with President Xi, a man who truly loves his country.

In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!”

"I just spoke to President Xi last night, and, you know, we're working on the — the problem, the virus. It's a — it's a very tough situation. But I think he's going to handle it. I think he's handled it really well.

“I think they've handled it professionally and I think they're extremely capable and I think President Xi is extremely capable and I hope that it's going to be resolved."

Xi greeted the U.S. president as his “old friend” and echoed Biden’s cordial tone in his own opening remarks, saying, “China and the United States need to increase communication and cooperation.”

Xi surely recognizes a friend when he sees one.

In the decades Biden has been in Washington he has supported so many programs and initiatives to help China burst past the US and Japanese economies.

Thats how I address people who I know dont like me but who have to accept that because they know I have something "on them" that they dont want others to know.

it also how I address old friends who I "did the dirt" with back in the day and we never got caught.

(Hello darkness) "my old friend"

East Germany didn’t last. Taiwan will be reunified eventually because the DPP has nothing other than anti- reunification mantra.

When China changes and has something other than the failed Hong Kong experiment to offer Taiwan, something that Taiwan people want to become part of, then reunification may occur. So far China offers nothing. As long as China fails to change, Taiwan will prefer to continue to go it alone.

China fears change more than anything and will fail in attempts to reunify peacefully with Taiwan because of that. That leaves two choices. No reunification or to reunify by force through invasion and war.

The choices are all with China and so far it has ignored what it needs to do to tempt Taiwan and relies on intimidation and threats of invasion. That will sway nobody to the CCP cause on the island nation.

China says it wants to open up to the world, but it first needs to open up to its people. Become something Taiwan wants to become a part of like the EU has suitor nations wanting to join it for the benefits. China offers nothing so should expect no results until it actually offers something positive.

East Germany didn’t last. Taiwan will be reunified eventually because the DPP has nothing other than anti- reunification mantra. North Korea and the Kim family won’t last. Korean reunification should take place. It’s how successful you govern.

If Taiwan stays independent,

its not 'independent' on paper at the moment, but pretty much defacto is. if the current status quo remains, why does china lose? it is china that is pushing the limits and leading the region into conflict.

the never-happy, huffing-puffing buffoon. like the boy who cried wolf. it's time to call china out on its bluffs.

history has proven that authoritarian states don't last long--there are plenty of fractures already evident; china will crumble from within due to its dated and rigid top-down system unable to keep up with today's international society.

Well yes, Xi is truthful on that one. Biden, who says the Uigur genocide is a "cultural difference" and who was the 10% receiving "big guy" in his sons dealing with CCP investors is exactly what Xi wants. Bleak days for Taiwan.
