The rest of the country?

see, here’s the problem. Bass’ you and your folk actually think you are the majority.

you aren’t

An expat living in Japan thinks they have the pulse of the American people, lol. As Bugs Bunny used to say "what a maroon".

Get rid of the FBI and see what kind of nation the US turns into. Funny thing about the Federal system. State law enforcement cannot enforce Federal laws and violations of Federal laws cannot be tried in state courts. State authorities lack jurisdiction to enforce, prosecute or try violations of Federal laws. Likewise violations of state laws cannot be prosecuted by Federal law enforcement nor can violations of state laws be tried in Federal courts because they too lack jurisdiction over state laws. So if the FBI is eliminated another similar Federal law enforcement agency would have to be formed unless you want to let organized crime and industrial crime go unchecked. Think hard and be careful what you wish for.

Good luck getting rid of the millions of assault rifles that are already in the community.

“We beat the NRA. We took them on and beat the NRA straight up. You have no idea how intimidating they are to elected officials,” an animated Biden said. “We’re not stopping here. I’m determined to ban assault weapons in this country! Determined. I did it once before. And I’ll do it again.”

Yes sir,  assault-style weapons, machines guns, automatic weapons, a 50 caliper sniper rifle all have NO PLACE in a civilized society, only psychopath would want to own one.

FBI not to be trusted? But Trump should be trusted to keep a secret?

What a joke!

Trump should be bound and gagged to shut him up and plug up any more leaks. This is ridiculous.

Blacklabel

if everything is fine why did the person at the FBI who opened the investigation into Trump just suddenly “resign”? after being found to have not followed procedures to open the case and found to have political bias on the job?

Who resigned?

Well, the Orange Jesus did keep a whole bunch of secrets stashed in various closets of his hotel.

So did other politicians, take your pick.

Which ex-presidents removed classified documents from the White House at the end of their term?

Legally he wasn't supposed

Many were not as well, but….

Who are the many who had access to classified documents?

But really, this is not so much different from a theft of drug case. He was in possession of items that he had no legal right to possess.

That depends. The DOJ already know what inventory Trump had. If there were something that they needed of urgency, they would have demanded it a long time ago and not close to a midterm….”oh, by the way…” yeah, that rationale won’t hold up.

Trump didn't surrender all the classified documents during the first visit. Why?

That is the long and short of it. The rest is just a bunch of noise.

Classified documents were recovered from Mar-a-Lago. That is the news.

Exactly and more and more people are realizing this. Again, the Feds have less than of smidgen of credibility left.

Not according to several polls.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

So that means that more than half don’t.

Nope. Read the poll data. 49% approve, 37% disapprove, with the remainder being Don’t know/No opinion.

Fox News said that, contrary to Trump's assertion, Timothy Thibault was not involved in this month's FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago "at any level."

The network also reported he retired, and was not fired as the former president has said.

“Biden has laid out a $37 billion plan for addressing crime and boosting law enforcement resources”

There. I’ll quote the article because those whose response to everything is saying crime is out of control and Democrats want to defund the police don’t usually read them.

Hey, a president who actually defends law enforcement and takes real action on gun violence.

Not some toddler who uses them as his personal enforcer and needs notes to make sure parents of kids killed by school shooters “feel heard.”

How refreshing.

The Republican candidate for governor, Doug Mastriano, accuses Democrat Josh Shapiro of being soft on crime as the state’s twice-elected attorney general,

Biden has an unfortunate history of trying to be "tough on crime" to the detriment of American society and the creation of a shameful prison-industrial complex.

https://www.commondreams.org/views/2013/03/18/shame-americas-gulag

He has been complicit and an enabler of the Republican tough guy poseurs.

But directing the "justice system" at Donald Trump and his cohorts is right and proper.

The White House has also repeatedly promoted the additional funding for local police that was tucked into its sweeping coronavirus relief package in the early months of Biden's presidency.

He's rejected the activist slogan “defund the police," which Republicans have used as a cudgel against Democrats in general, by calling for more money for cops.

God dammit, Brandon.

Free from the establishment of Washington.

The Dems defunded the police and look at the mess in every major blue state.

Nothing but "Whataboutery"....Thanks for agreeing with me...

Democrats, the DOJ and the FBI.....

Ditto....

Yep, it sure isn't Reagan's law and order party anymore....

The Dems have no room to talk, gone are the days when they actually cared for the working man and the rule of law.

X3....they never refute anything we say, just offer a weak; "that's true but what about" deflections.

They can't refute it because they are objective facts, MJT said in writing that she wants to "defund the FBI", this kooky Repub candidate said if FBI agents show up at his house they'd leave in "body bags", and Lindsey said openly on Fox News that Trump supporters would "riot in the streets" if he was indicted....

Facts - in their own words....

Hillary wasn’t President, as you said, so has zero relevance. In fact neither does Obama since he doesn’t have millions of classified documents in his home as a lot of looney sites with eaglefreedomtruth in their title are claiming.

Democrats, the DOJ and the FBI were completely silent when radical Dems threatened to kill Kavanaugh and Barrett and going to their personal residence, but yeah, they have the right to protest and say what they want as long as it's not to liberals. Walls don't work, but Biden wants a wall around his home and wants the US taxpayer to pay for it.

That promotes violent rioting "in the streets" just like Antifa and BLM (Lindsey Graham)....

That was uncalled for just like when Dems call for violence like Maxine Waters, push and shove them and get in their faces and tell them they are not welcome.

Biden is either electioneering our totally out of step with a big slice of his own party. The documents thing is such a ridiculous red herring. Anyone who thinks Orange "stole" or whatever documents is deluded. What for? Given he has been the most investigated public official ever, why would he be so dumb?

Some of the reporting on this has been nothing short of hysterical (again). Wait a few months and let's see if this is the "walls finally closing in on him"

Personally I doubt it (but happy to be proven wrong).

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

So that means that you accept that Biden won by 7 million votes,

The election is not part of this topic.

Trump failed in 60 different court cases, and the lawfully signed and executed warrant came away with 184 documents that at the time of the siezure were still classified, 25 of them top secert, right?

Again, the DOJ knew this already, last year it wasn’t an issue, it wasn’t an issue a few months ago, the Feds told Trump he should buy a secure lock to keep them safe, he complied and now short before the midterms, it’s urgent that they have to reclaim the documents because they felt that from Trump Towers he was about to destroy the documents? Like I said, it’s going to great to have sunshine as a disinfectant and McCarthy with the gavel to get to the bottom of all this.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Biden can preach and defend the FBI as much as he wants. No crime against that. He has a right to do that. Meanwhile, the rest of the country on the other hand and for a lot of people…

Obama followed all protocol in doing so.

Yeah, the left keep saying that. Lol

Hillary wasn’t President, as you said, so has zero relevance.

No, she has relevance for the fact that she was SoS and she had access to the most sensitive documents?! How and most importantly, why? And why would the Feds not pursue it. If you and I would have done what she did we would be in Federal prison and you know that. So once again, the left can do what they want and get away with what they want, but the right can’t. Snowden and Assange were right all along.

Rasmussen Reports released the data, which showed that 44% of surveyed Americans say the raid made them trust the federal law enforcement agency less.

"Last week’s raid by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on former President Donald Trump’s home has damaged the FBI’s standing with Republican and independent voters," Rasmussen said. "A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 44% of Likely U.S. voters say the FBI raid on Trump’s Florida home made them trust the FBI less, compared to 29% who say it made them trust the bureau more. Twenty-three percent (23%) say the Trump raid did not make much difference in their trust of the FBI."

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Obama or Hillary Clinton did not remove classified documents from the White House when they ended their terms.

They did worse actually.

Classified documents are never emailed. Usually hard copies.

They are also never hammered to pieces or stored unsecured in a public restaurant

Federal law requires that presidents and their administrations keep a detailed collection of emails, documents, and even gifts from their time in office since all of those things are actually the property of the American people."

Again, the DOJ knew this, but there was no urgency to obtain those documents until just close before the midterm election.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

You either accept facts or don’t. Can’t help you with that.

That’s what I keep trying to tell you guys.

This is incorrect. She did not have the most sensitive documents.

Comey disagrees, but she was given a pass. Again, if you or I hid government files on an unsecured HD we both would not be having this chat right now.

But you don’t think 45 should be.

I just want the same legal standard to apply here to both sides for the same crimes. If you have the evidence, then charge them, if not than don’t. Don’t have one standard for the left and one for everyone else.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Your arguments would hold more water if you followed known facts

I think what you meant was "approved/accepted" facts.

There are a lot of known facts, which the left generally refuses to accept.

Which ex-presidents removed classified documents from the White House at the end of their term?

Obama, Hillary (which was worse because she wasn’t President) and a few other politicians..

Who are the many who had access to classified documents?

I just answered that.

Trump didn't surrender all the classified documents during the first visit. Why?

Why didn’t the DOJ take back the urgent documents they are so worried about a year ago. They weren’t concern with Trump last year, but all of a sudden they had a change of heart? Even after Trump and his team were in the process of returning boxes of national documents and why would the Feds tell Trump to secure the very files they now are accusing him of hiding? Yeah, it really doesn’t make sense, unless….what month is this?.

Classified documents were recovered from Mar-a-Lago. That is the news.
