Russia has constant troop and material movement to Crimea everyday -and has been for quite a few years.

-This proclamation for war makes no sense.

Seems like they have already agreed to cut the Ukraine up a bit more.

Hasn't Russia been invaded three or four times? No sure why there would be a need to expand Nato to the border.

Is this entire things on both sides about increasing arms sales?

"Clean up on aisle 7!"

Joe and his team are scrambling to undo the damage he did at his disastrous press conference. His media flacks spent the last 24 hours making the rounds of tv and cable stations, doing their best to spin his remarks into something resembling coherence.

Ah the lovely Dem warmongers and their supporters.

A day with some warmongering is a day without sunshine.

“Russia has a long history of using measures other than overt military action to carry out aggression -- paramilitary tactics, so-called gray zone attacks and actions by Russian soldiers not wearing Russian uniforms.”

The Cold War is long over and it's not an unwinnable nuclear war we need to worry about. Russia has committed cyberwar against many nations during the past number of years incl. the US. They did so in Nov. 2016, resulting in the installation of DT into the WH.

Now Joe is in, he's a real POTUS and he's no puppet of Putin. Russia has already committed cyberwar on the Ukraine last week as a prelude to a physical invasion. They physically intervened recently in Kazakhistan to keep a puppet in power there. Putin's getting cocky.

Well, the US knows cyberwar too and has done it before. It was successfully done for the first time on serbia during the 1999 Kosovo War, it was used on Iran and on Libya during the 2011 Libya War. And we can do it on Russia too if Putin steps too far.

It's about time the president of the rogue state of the USA kept out of Russia's affairs.

I think so, and also think once again it's about which empire has greater control over oil and gas, control over fuel reserves plus other resources and war go hand in hand.

It's long passed time to move beyond the fossil era, though I believe the world will continue to burn gas and oil for years to come, in part because the fossil capitalist establishment running the world have made the world so dependent on burning huge amounts of fossil fuels, and have stymied development of replacements for burning huge amounts of fossil fuels. And for some reason many people still say it's OK to breathe exhaust fumes, even though most know how harmful that is to their health and the health of all forms of life on the planet.

after Biden was heavily criticized Wednesday for saying a “minor incursion” by Russia would elicit a lesser response.

as he should have been, its good to see him finally criticized by the liberal media for something rather than it being covered up or explained away.

At this point it's pretty sure Russia will be taking the Donbas, like Georgia or Crimea, it's the usual Putin's way. In Donbas they all got Russian passports, Russian "army" is there, it's a done deal, just need to make it official.

They did so in Nov. 2016, resulting in the installation of DT into the WH.

Proof?

Now Joe is in, he's a real POTUS and he's no puppet of Putin.

Ok, so why is he not listening to him? Could it be he thinks the same way of him as he did with Obama?

Russia has already committed cyberwar on the Ukraine last week as a prelude to a physical invasion. They physically intervened recently in Kazakhistan to keep a puppet in power there. Putin's getting cocky.

Yup, which means, he’s calling Biden’s bluff, which translates to, I saw how you dealt with Afghanistan and the rest of your nations problems. Now having a disapproval rating of 57% So if I were Putin knowing this, I would be cocky as well.

Well, the US knows cyberwar too and has done it before. It was successfully done for the first time on serbia during the 1999 Kosovo War,

When the US had a military with real military leadership.

it was used on Iran and on Libya during the 2011 Libya War. And we can do it on Russia too if Putin steps too far.

Not under this administration or military leadership. Rewind back to Afghanistan.

No friend of Putin but let's be honest.

If Mexico suddenly changed sides and joined Russia or China then moved to join a military pact with one of them that includes the presence of Chinese or Russian troops on the USA border, how long do you think it would be before the USA to invade Mexico? A few days, a few weeks, or just enough time to get enough troops and supplies to the border?

Reality is Russia will not accept NATO in Ukraine and if the west wants a war then adding Ukraine into NATO will get them that.

My worry is this crazy idea that somehow Putin will back down, that the Russian people will resist or something like that.

One thing Napoleon, the German's twice found out that even if the Russian people don't like their leaders they don't like invaders even more.

So if anyone in NATO or the western governments for some reason think Russians will turn on Putin they are more likely wrong.

It is more likely that the country will do as it has done and go all out against what they see as intrusion into their territory.

Leave Ukraine "officially" neutral and a buffer zone and chances of war are minimal.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Well at least we had Joe Biden read to us what an "invasion" is from the binder he is holding.

He certainly didnt know what an "invasion" was yesterday.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

What is the regime in the White House going to do?

Sic Tony Blinkin on Putin?

I'm sure Vlad is terrified of such strong arm tactics.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Ah the lovely Dem warmongers and their supporters.

A day with some warmongering is a day without sunshine.

oh Iraq Gulf Afghanistan wars all started under a Republican president, one was started under a WMD lie

who just pulled US out of Afganistan? Amazing how history can prove people so wrong

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

so to all the right wingers with all your experience in starting wars, what would you expect the president do, let Russia just take over Ukraine or stand by them!? Im just curious see all this criticism but zero actual answers. we all know if it was Trump hed just throw Ukraine under the bus

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Whether you believe Biden's statement that "he doesn't believe in polls" is up to you.

But SOMEBODY in the White House definitely does, and Biden is acting exactly like an American President who knows his only chance of holding on to power is if the US is fighting a new war, but also not being seen by the American population as the guy who started it.

He's been refusing to actually reverse Trump's craziest foreign policy decision of repudiating the JCPOA, which gave the US what it claims to have wanted, and then making it impossible for America's allies that didn't repudiate it to comply with it, effectively begging the Israeli regime to start a hot war with Iran (The Israeli regime's generals have told the regime they'd revolt before they'd let them do that)

He's been sounding as aggressively paranoid as Trump towards Russia trying to force the Russian government to respond or 'look weak' to the Russian voters. (Unfortunately for him, Putin is sticking to responding with just as aggressive rhetoric and posturing, but better tuned to the Russian voter's ears)

He's been trying the same thing against China, though the Chinese system isn't as vulnerable to such and the Chinese foreign policy victories make his efforts actually assure the Chinese population that China is winning without the need for a war.

And he's been greenlighting the Republican Party Of War caucus to give him an effective declaration of war, though they know that doing that would cost the Republicans the election.

The invasion of the Ukraine will the beginning of the end for Putin.

He knows it. The country knows it. Power is slipping away from him little by little. It would not surprise me to see communism/socialism's -or-the opposite publicly rise again. But packaged up by the young and hip of Russia. Then swallowed whole by Russia's youth. Comrade Putin's days are numbered and from the dungy offices of the KGB. He has done well for himself. Now he can remove his shirt and catch Russian steelheads in the streams and lakes there all he would want too. He can lace up his skates and hit the ice with the Russian senior league dudes he plays with. He is not bad hockey player either.

If he is smart.-he will just go away quietly.

I have a private life in which I do not permit interference. It must be respected.

Vladimir Putin

The ability to compromise is not a diplomatic politeness toward a partner but rather taking into account and respecting your partner's legitimate interests.

-Vladimir Putin

The above quotes tell you allot about the man.

Biden is allover the place and so wishy washy on the Ukraine, back and forth back and forth. Okay maybe a teeny weenie invasion Okay. Wink wink. Today (backlash) Maybe not Okay. opps......

How can anyone in the world now take this man Biden or America seriously?

What an embarrassment the office of POTUS has been the last 6 years.

America needs to get it together and quickly. The selfish millennial must end!

Fact vs. Fiction: Russian Disinformation on Ukraine

Unless the US/UK/EU get their act together. NATO members are not together on how to deal with Putin to suggest otherwise is a delusion.

‘It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion, and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do, et cetera,’….. President Biden.....What was President Biden thinking of?

Joe Biden seems to be oblivious to what is right in front of him.

Russia has put a lot of their money into their armed forces, but their second tier status economically makes Russia unable to stand up to a united NATO. The question is, will the democracies stand up to Putin, or cave in to his bluster without a fight? Putin perhaps thinks that the West, after twenty years wasted in the Middle East, is too tired to stand up to him.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

oh Iraq Gulf Afghanistan wars all started under a Republican president, one was started under a WMD lie

so true.

So Dem voters are just as warmongering as Rep voters right?

Tough talk by mostly Americans that didn't experience the ravages of the last 2 world wars in Europe.

Only seems the Americans forget Russian is not Vietnam, Not Iraq, not Afghanistan, etc... They are a Nuclear armed, ballistic missile possessing country if people thing they will just fight in their own backyard with USA/NATO troops, think again, the next war in Europe involving Russia will spill over into north America if we even survive.

I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment.
