You forgot:

Destroyed the Nord Stream Pipeline - $11 billion...

Made Europe, especially Germany, dependent once again on receiving Russian gas via existing pipelines that transit through Ukraine and for gas produced in Ukraine by companies like Burisma - priceless...

over 2 million people a day at / entering the border is a perfect example of how Biden's priority is more of an invitation than anything else

The USA is being invaded daily by immigrants

2 million a day? You believe this?

How do you know it is 2 million? Were they all stopped? In that case good job.

Were they not all stopped? In that case by your numbers the US population has more than doubled this year?

“‘If we don’t get the aid, we will lose the war,” Schumer said.

Good. Then lose the war. You won’t be holding the US hostage. They’ll flip on their own for political gains.

The right these days think it's better to pander to dictators than to stand up to them

It’s what they are fed. Not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

They’ll be spamming Covid and climate change threads before long.

They are enthusiastic though.

He is correct! The pig trough is about to run dry, so all war profit pigs better hurry because the American people are getting sick of watching their tax money get funneled into war corp pockets while they cannot afford to fill their gas tanks.

To date the US has given Ukraine about $76 billion - for this, the Ukrainians have;

Sunk the flagship Moskva - $750 billion...

Put an unrepairable hole in the new submarine Rostov-on-Don - $300 billion...

At least one thousand turretless Russian tanks litter Ukraine - $100 billion....

Yeah, the US gave $76 BILLION, but you are off by a factor of 1000 with those other numbers:

Moskova cost: $750 MILLION

new sub: $300 MILLION

Russian tank losses: $700 Million - $1 Billion (estimated)

No longer the "deal of the century" when correctly calculating....

The idea that the US isn’t going to support Ukraine in resisting Russia’s naked attempts at expansion on a bs lie is merely the fever dream of a deluded cult.

The more or less $100 billion has been the best money ever spent. For about 2% of GDP, the US has cleared the board of the risk of an invasion of W. Europe (which was definitely Mini-me’s follow-on plan) and has revealed the Russian military to be a Potemkin village of corruption and incompetence.

Drunks that don’t fight, boats that don’t float, planes that fall out of the sky (usually in a ball of flames) and the world’s largest mobile crematorium force AKA “tanks that burn like paper in fire.”

And all for the low low cost of zero US lives (so far).

Ukraine wants to fight its own war. Properly supplied, it will win. The resulting victory of Democracy over Russian fascism will cement the global rules-based order in W. Europe for generations to come with Ukrainian good will and US leadership of NATO.

To say it’s too expensive is to be penny wise and pound foolish, which is not surprising considering who is making the argument.

2 ( +13 / -11 )

It will be much more expensive to fight Putin in Poland and the Baltic States.

absolutely

I was told by the non-Americans living in Japan here that the American people wouldn't have to pay a single cent for any of this.

Oh really? Which non-Americans?

Unless of course those dictators are our Saudi friends?

Saudi is also Russia and China's friend. It's called Realpolitik. You know, what the dictatorship cabal engages in 100% of the time.

Supporting Ukraine is good, necessary and vitally important for democracy. This is also good for U.S. national security, so what’s the problem? Unless you want see democracy fail and autocracies prevail, it makes no sense what the republicans are doing.

2 ( +10 / -8 )

Our monetary support for Ukraine is one of the smartest investments for our national security that we have ever made...

Our national security is not in Ukraine. Our national security is NOT served by making an enemy of Russia. Our national security is NOT served by getting Ukraine into NATO. Our national security is NOT served by this proxy war instigated by America.

We are on the brink of WWIII. Only war profiteers and their sock puppets think this humanitarian crisis and mass death was worth it. Only the evil speak of the continued deaths of innocent men, woman and children as beneficial in some fashion.

And yet, the intelligent people in America disagree. The people who know better.

When one of the two major political parties is enthralled with Putin's lapdog, is it a surprise that they don't want to support Ukraine against Russia?

Right that was what the USA said about Vietnam, but it didn't happen,

We didn't have a Russia bent on expansion of its borders in that war.

1 ( +10 / -9 )

Meanwhile, working class Ukrainian men are rounded up in neighborhoods by men with guns and sent to the frontlines to die in a war they don't want to fight.

The Russians were doing that in Russia, and are soon to be starting their biannual conscription of residents of the annexed territories. I bet those residents are really happy about what they have “chosen”.

Biden's priority should be to resign asap

I would note that Biden got elected in a landslide, clearly the American people wanted him, significantly more than the other guy. So I have to wonder why, again as an unbiased outsider, would he resign after being given a mandate by his people, in support of an issue only supported by a small fringe minority of extremist voters?

Haemorraging the US taxpayer. While the war machine reaps mind-blowing profits. And all backed by leftist Americans. Its tragicomedy.

The right in America does seem to cozy up to them too. Jared Kushner got a $2trillion gift from the Saudi's right after Trump's presidency... and they're going after Hunter Biden.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling.

If Ukraine falls, the Baltic states and Poland are next followed by western Europe.

That is the war cry!

But that sound familiar!

Right that was what the USA said about Vietnam, but it didn't happen, and the only reason Cambodia and Laos did was because of illegal USA bombings if their territory that destabilized both countries.

This same doomsday scenario was used be the USA to back coups in Argentina, Chile, the wars in central America.

We have a problem, Russia can't be trusted, Ukraine can't be trusted and the USA can't be trusted.

All 3 leaders need their win to stay in power, if Russia loses Putin is out, if Russia wins both Biden and Zelenski are out, so at this point none of these 3 care about the people, they care about their political survival.

0 ( +10 / -10 )

the only game is on the American people using their tax dollars for the world war machine.

See how well the fits?

Now replace South Vietnam with Chile or Argentina or Nicaragua or some other place of let's not forget Afghanistan paving the way for the first Taliban takeover!

Really? I guess you are not old enough or informed enough to remember or know what was being said back then.

And let's not forget Afghanistan, the argument there was the same as Vietnam and now Ukraine, Russia/ communist etc .. will engulf the region. But what happened? The Taliban! How? USA support and weapons given to fight the Soviet Union!

And yet, the intelligent people in America disagree. The people who know better.

The intelligent people in America and the world know better than you, even the dead ones. John Mearsheimer, Noam Chomsky, Vijay Prashad, Medea Benjamin, George Kennan, Vladmir Pozner, Michael Parenti, John Pilger, Chris Hedges, George Galloway, Bill Bradley, Stephen F. Cohen, Jack Matlock and more are so far ahead of you, and out of your field of vision, that you tell yourself they are behind.

You never have researched their views on this despite all the times I mentioned them have you? You never respond to their mention. You never address any of their views. You never examine the full debate. So why do you keep talking? What are you getting out of this?

-2 ( +12 / -14 )

We didn't have a Russia bent on expansion of its borders

And we still dont.

Laughably, objectively, provably false.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

He's right. We should not show the world we have zero attention span and staying power.

-3 ( +14 / -17 )

Gotta keep the war machine churning!

-3 ( +15 / -18 )

There is a bipartisan majority in favor of aiding Ukraine. Its not going to get dropped regardless of what Stupid Hannibal or mini-me's fan-bois think.

They dont want to know. The “progressive” leftists have their heads in the sand and thats where they will keep them. Russell Brand was one of them, then he woke up - now look what theyre doing to him.

Biden got it right and those Repubs voting against supporting Ukraine should get their act straight!

McCarthy and others like him use all they can to sabotage the President Biden administration.

By doing so they do their best to support the orange traitor and indirectly also PUTAin.

Ukraine prevails!

When faced with an adversary, target their government, governance, leadership, infrastructure and military with insurgents. Much cheaper. Much quicker. More bang for your buck. It's always cheaper to take down a regime directly than to play soldiers across an entire nation.

Putin spoke about a corridor between Belarus and Kaliningrad. He suggested using the Wagner Group troops. They have been given a new leader and sent back to Ukraine.

Pretty disgusting how quickly the GOP has fallen in line with Putin.

For a fraction of our yearly defense budget Ukraine has negated the Russian conventional military threat by 50%....

It's the deal of the century...

The fact that our MAGA-friends are so against it just once again highlights their clear bias for Russia and admiration for Putin...just like their Ultra MAGA King...
