Yet you and your unnamed non-partisan historians still regard him as a successful president despite him being a RINO, neocon, fiscally irresponsible etc.
I still can’t work out why you and your unnamed non-partisan historians regard him as successful.

Gee, Bass. That's behind a paywall like dozens of your other sources. Perhaps you can summarize the important parts of the article for me in your own words since I'm sure you've read it. Or just treat everyone here like we're stupid and pretend you read it. That might be easier for you.
Superlib
And? I can't read it. But as you've read it I'm sure you can summarize it here and explain how it counters my point. I'm assuming that was your goal as you wouldn't have posted it otherwise.
Superlib
You don't have to. You can keep the information secret from me if you want. I just assumed that you wanted me to have the information since you replied to my post with it.

What ways?
Bob Fosse
You now disagree with the original link, which may I remind you, you posted?

More MAGA self-contradiction - "he was a sucessful President...and a lying, stinkin', RINO warmonger"....
Kind'a like what they admitted before - the COVID vaccine is both "safe" and "poison" at the same time...

Now that the economy has not crashed, the border isn't being over run, inflation is coming down, jobs and wages are growing, and the majority of Americans do not believe in the "woke mind virus", what is the GQP theory of the case to vote for either of 2 unlikable jerks, one of whom is going to prison?
Oh, there isn't one.
Sorry goobers, your gambit failed.
Sanity wins.
You're welcome, America.
Thank you, Joe.

Competent governance achieved.
The loonies got neither their regressive cuts nor their achieved their murder-suicide pact with the US economy.
Good job, Joe.

Please leave corporate welfare recipients and rich tax dodgers out of the conversation.

Insane piece of legislation that routinely holds the global economy hostage. They need to scrap it ASAP.

Nah, I think that better describes all the corporate welfare the Republicans got in this bill and the big gift Democrat In Name Only coal baron Manchin got.
Bob Fosse
“In contrast, the shift to the right is more modest among younger voters — especially those who came of age after Mr. Obama, in the era of Black Lives Matter, the Bernie Sanders campaign and Donald J. Trump. Today’s politics are still mostly defined by the same issues that brought these voters to the Democrats. As long as that’s true, they may well remain by their side.
It’s possible — even likely, if Mr. Trump is the nominee — that the 2024 presidential election will be fought over issues similar to those in recent elections. If so, it could prove to be like the 2012 presidential election, a fleeting moment of political stability that allowed incremental demographic and generational shifts to seem to carry the day.”
Thanks for the article link Bass. Always informative. 2024 is likely to be like 2012? Thanks again for the link!

Great quote by Bernie and I wonder what somebody without ideological blinders would have a problem with it.
Republicans got their corporate welfare socialism for the rich here , building on what they got with the previous resident of the White House.
wallace
Reminds me of President Bush's $800 billion bank bailout. And Trump's $2.3 trillion tax cuts.

No, it's the GOP that want cradle-to-grave entitlements for their corporate overlords.

Yup, but a massive win for Biden considering what the GOP really wanted.

Just because they are at risk of flipping doesn't mean they should flip. We don't need surrender abroad in 2024.

The script on this was written three weeks ago...
Old buds Biden and McConnell got together and crafted a deal....they told McCarthy he could play along and they would give him "cover" or he could reject it and Biden and McConnell would jointly say McCarthy is the obstructionist and should accept the blame for the default...
Kevin choose to play along and so went forth and gave us three weeks of "theater"...huffing and puffing trying to show his MAGA-bona fides...
But it was all for show - to his "Kook Caucus"...
However, they still weren't satisfied so the clock is ticking on who will sink the knife in Kevin's back first...I'd vote Buck or Gaetz...

If a definition of mindless irrational absurdity, it is congress playing chicken brinkmanship with the threat of US global economic horror show that is debt default.
It is difficult to wonder what US voters in the next US elections will have to vote for..

Good job, President Biden and Speaker McCarthy!

Biden started his re-election campaign.

Someone has no understanding of the policies of Bernie Sanders.
Democratic socialism is defined as having a socialist economy in which the means of production are socially and collectively owned or controlled alongside a liberal democratic political system of government. Democratic socialists reject most self-described socialist states and Marxism–Leninism.
lostrune2
So that's that, much ado about nothing
It always happens, and as always they approve it at the end

If we want better results, we need to elect more Dems. Given the relatively evenly divided Congress, the results here could have been much worse for the American people.
dagon
What is needed is to get rid of the duopoly farce who get little done for the people.
I'm independent, usually side with the Dems.
Why do most young Americans, though not only young, side with Bernie Sanders.

Coal baron Manchin is getting his corporate welfare and environmental destruction and the lives of disadvantaged Americans got a little bit harder.
And the jewel in the crown for the corporate overlords of the Republicans.
Biden's anodyne statements do not change the fact that the bill is a net loss for the American people.

Because they think they can mooch off the government for free and we have free money to dole out, they usually change after they leave college, start a family, buy a home and when the mortgage payments start rolling in as well as other bills they often tend to change and find out that you really have to work in life.
bass4funk
Why? Because you request it? Request denied!
Anyway, speaking of tax dodgers....

So the Dems do want cradle-to-grave entitlements.
Yeah, we do.
Bernie quotes:
In his NCIPA speech: “Yes, it is true that a result of the tremendous political ignorance in this country created by the schools and the media, there are many people who do not know the difference between ‘socialism’ and ‘communism.’ Yes, on more than one occasion, I have been told to ‘go back to Russia.’ But, if we maintain a strong position on civil liberties, express our continued opposition to authoritarianism and the concept of the one-party state, I am confident that the vast majority of the people will understand that there is nothing incompatible between socialism and democracy. That has been the case in Vermont and I believe, with proper effort, that it can be the case nationally. Further, given the fact that in Burlington we have almost doubled voter turnout and have significantly increased citizen participation, it is very hard for our opponents to argue that we are not ‘democratic.’”
In an interview with Catherine Alison Hill for a master’s thesis she wrote at Cornell in 1989: “Socialism has a lot of different messages to different people. I think the issue of socialist ideology and what that meant or means is not terribly important. I think the positive of it is that it indicates to people that I am not a conventional politician. If they are not happy with the status quo, then that is a positive thing. The negative of it obviously is that there are people who equate it with totalitarianism and the Soviet Union.”
Yeah, no thank you.

I never thought Bush was a serious conservative on pretty much any social issue.
So the Dems do want cradle-to-grave entitlements.
Doesn't make sense since the richest corporate overlords are predominantly.

Yep cant wait for the first public campaign event held outside of the basement or the White House.
CPTOMO
Giant win for the GOP.
Blacklabel
we definitely don’t need any more democrats in our government, the first 8 of the top 10 “at risk to flip” Senate seats are all Dem held.

Getting behind a paywall is simple enough, especially for the LA Times. Read up on it. That would be more productive than complaining.
bass4funk
In many ways, I do think so.
Yes
bass4funk
Sometimes in life, liberals have to pay, not everything is for free.
Why do I have to do the work for you? You are very capable of doing it yourself.
No, that wasn't my goal because I don't take heads on who has and who doesn't have a subscription to the Times.
CPTOMO
They should write his name in instead of Biden.

And?
Stupid? You said it, I didn't...
Not for me, but maybe you can try a new spin.
