In an interview Saturday, Wang accused the U.S. of adopting a superior attitude and using its strength to pressure other countries.

China, you are wrong. Shame on you!

The US does not have such bold leadership.

You are living in the past.

Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng accused the administration of President Joe Biden of trying to contain and suppress China's development, according to an official summary of his remarks in talks with visiting U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman.

But... How could China be angry with the Bien administration? Conservatives have assured us that Biden wasn't doing anything to them and didn't scare China at all and also something about Hunter Biden?

Imagine North Korea with lots of political and economic clout in the world and it would probably look, sound and behave a lot like present day China.

Who is turning Hong Kong into a totalitarian nightmare? Who has already created the biggest mass internment system for ethnic minorities since the Nazis? Who is threatening to bomb Taiwan back to the stone age if they don't bend to their will?

Habitual theft of intellectual property. Massive human rights abuses. Free riding on the global world order.

Now they are mad that America has raised a coalition of democracies to counter its dictatorial tendencies.

China, meanwhile, “expressed its strong dissatisfaction" with the U.S. stance on COVID-19 origin tracing, Taiwan, Xinjiang, Hong Kong and the South China Sea, Zhao told reporters at a daily briefing.

Sure, China is unhappy that the world isn’t allowing it to get away with genocide.

Good that we have a tough , principled President, instead of one who was willing to overlook genocide for personal gain.

Imagined enemy?

The enemy is real and currently emerging from the shadows.

"The fundamental reason why relations between the two face serious difficulties is because some Americans portray China as an "imagined enemy,” the Foreign Ministry quoted Xie as saying."

Imagined enemy? Its not our imagination dear China.

"its highly misguided mindset and dangerous policy.”

A perfect way to describe the path that China is taking. An unelected dictatorship with a leader for life bent on geopolitical domination.

China doesn't seem very happy with the US right now. I guess they miss the old days when the former American President said Xi was a great leader and a brilliant man.

In other words, America is mad that it's losing its monopoly on global power. My god, it has to SHARE power??!!!

The origination of the COVID19 needs to be addressed so that we can work cooperatively to ensure that a similar incident doesn't occur again. We owe that to the families of the millions that have suffered the lasting affects or lost their lives due to this deadly virus.

China should stop sending kidnap squads to the US (and other countries), as a means to intimidate people who do not live in China.

Indeed, the US should strive to find common ground with all nations, where possible, but the comments coming from China today are frighteningly hypocritical.

The Chinese Government is afraid to loose control thats all it is. Decades of stealing foreign IP, trillions of fake goods flooded the world and ended up as waste in the Oceans or dump sites. China is no innocent choir boy neither is US, but i rather live in an imperfect half baked democracy arguing with morons than not being able to argue or being prosecuted for speaking critiscm on a system that does not tolerate question their corrupt leadership. Proven by billions of private wealth shifted out of China by the privileged well connected CCP members and their family networks.

Whatever happen, let these two giants fight.

It's no problems but their own.

The American lady seems being very annoying!

The only reason for the US-China "decoupling" is that Trump lost confidence in the USA and its ability to compete with China. The US is sinking and China is rising. Get used to it! And Japan should not be linked to a sinking ship. Japan should join rising China.

Commodore Perry

In an interview Saturday, Wang accused the U.S. of adopting a superior attitude and using its strength to pressure other countries.

China, you are wrong. Shame on you!

The US does not have such bold leadership.

You are living in the past.

With a name like "Commodore Perry" and your comment, it shows how idiotic you are! You don't even know the history of the name you have chosen for yourself. Here's something to help you:

[quote] On July 8, 1853, Commodore Matthew Perry of the United States Navy, commanding a squadron of two steamers and two sailing vessels, sailed into Tôkyô harbor aboard the frigate Susquehanna. Perry, on behalf of the U.S. GOVERNMENT FORCED JAPAN to enter into trade with the United States and DEMANDED a treaty permitting trade and the opening of Japanese ports to U.S. merchant ships. [end quote]

And it's not just history. The US, under Biden, bombed Syria and Iraq just a month ago!

Unfortunately, Japan (the Government, not the people) prefers to be a wannabe-white nation; they prefer to be a 2nd-class American, sucking up to the white G6, rather than a 1st-class Asian nation which they can be and be treated as an equal. The reason is: they CANNOT ACCEPT OTHER ASIANS AS EQUALS, including Koreans and Chinese; they can only accept other Asians as colonized subjects, as inferiros, like Korea and Taiwan before WWII.

China tells US to change its "highly misguided mindset" as countries begin talk:

If that is the case, what is the point of having a China-US dialogue at all?

When each party sticks to its own covert agenda tightly, with no compromise in sight, any conversation would be futile.

Well said, the jpn government is misguided, but after watching the Olympics, I have hopes for the next generation of Japan!

Japan will rejoin Asia.

Translation: The Biden admin has not caved enough yet.

Oh it absolutely does. They're now just doing things the professional way rather than on Twitter....

Professionally retreating.

Strive? It does. China is the one that thinks it can take whatever it wants, claim land as it sees fit, Annex countries it think it’s there’s and how it wants all this with zero impunity and zero repercussions.

Many are eager for an end to diplomatic posturing and saber rattling and veiled threats.

No more proxy wars fought with restrictive rules of engagement. Let China try and prove its superiority in all out war , they know that their navy is no match for The US, and neither is their air force. We might lose a few cities to Chinese nukes, but the price of freedom is sometimes high and we must be prepared to make some sacrifices.

Nope chinas nukes will fall on china only as it has to use gps the guidance system is still winnie the poop n for failing export economy of China is has begun n with chinese students not allowed to America unis copy theft n reverse engendering is history

The DSOS does not look amused in this photo and why didn't the AP include a single quote or statement from the U.S. perspective in this story? Was anyone allowed to speak besides the Chinese?

Who is turning Hong Kong into a totalitarian nightmare?

China.

Who has already created the biggest mass internment system for ethnic minorities since the Nazis?

Israel locking up millions of Palestinians in the Gaza Ghetto.

China comes in second.

Who is threatening to bomb Taiwan back to the stone age if they don't bend to their will?

China.

China is playing a power game to take control as the dominant nation in the world today.

The US is defending it's current position as the dominant nation on the planet, held since the end of WWII.

Always during such struggles, the little people get crushed in the madness.

China has few allies, the US has many allies. that may or may not be the ultimate deciding factor for this struggle.

Sigh. ICBMs don't need GPS or the Chinese equivalent called BeiDou, which you apparently do not know about. ICBMs and SLBMs both use a combination of inertial guidance and, while in space, celestial navigation to refine their position.
