Tell that to Latin America. The USE installed a fascist government in Chile, leaving thousands dead and enslaved while Pinochet and his US/UK-backed buddies ignored and usurped democracy.

That doesn’t excuse any of the crimes these leaders have committed in their own countries.

Shall we review Trump's approval ratings with our allies?

If they’re really allies then they would have never tried to leech off of us. Who cares what they think about the President, it’s not a popularity contest.

America has been the only stabilizing force in the world following WW II up until the end of the Cold War.

This is inaccurate. Nike, Disney, and the NBA bow to Chinese pressure; it has zero to do with those companies having been infiltrated by Chinese people. Accuracy is definitely not your strong point.

That’s as very accurate as can be. Not only has the Communist party infected the US business market but the world in General from Africa to Brazil.

America has been the only stabilizing force in the world following WW II up until the end of the Cold War. They engaged Soviet Communist led expansionism with some missteps along the way but no world destroying nuclear armageddon and more not less democracy. The US is now a spent force. $22 trillion debt and a contraction of its global reach and resources. There is no way for the US to provide for stability when the UN is hostile towards democracy. The US must retrench and forget about ever being the world’s policeman again. When Russia invaded Ukraine, Obama and the UN stood by and did nothing. That’s the new reality. The US does not dominate the globe anymore and anti- democratic nations know this. America must worry about its own future now. The stabilization free ride is over.

Bingo! Now if liberals think America is a force for evil, imagine what will happen if China were to take over. Freedom, human rights would all be grandeur visions of the past.

So now the House is pissing off the Chinese as well as Trump. No worries, Biden will smooth things over when he takes office in 2021.

Yeah - I am sure Biden’s son will use his business ties with Communist party backed corporations to get China fully back into the US market.

And even with that, they’re still correct that the US is the biggest source of instability in the world.

The United States has, for political purposes, used the machine of state to suppress legitimate Chinese businesses and has groundlessly laid charges against them, which is an act of bullying, he added.

While you use the machine of the state to oppress your own people and influence economies and governments around the globe with your own, going to have to call crap on that one.

China has been playing economical war games for decades, we're behind and waking up to it, leaving them unhappy we're trying to fight back.

The United States has also used its domestic law to "crudely interfere" in China's internal affairs, trying to damage "one country, two systems" and Hong Kong's stability and prosperity, he added.

While you murder your the HK people in an attempt to force "one country, one system". Really smooth CCP.

China is a Communist/Socialist country. They are a dictatorship. They oppress people as a matter of ideology.

Yeah, their record on such things is horrible. And even with that, they’re still correct that the US is the biggest source of instability in the world.

I don’t understand why our posters on the other side of the ethical divide would have a problem with this statement - this is what you guys hired Trump to do. Now that he’s doing it, it’s weird that you guys have a problem with China saying he’s done what you guys wanted him to do. I’d think you’d be happier he’s achieved your goals.

Blacklabel: I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made.

Shall we review Trump's approval ratings with our allies?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

oh so all you libs are on Team China now? Obviously we are doing the right thing. Even if it gets your panties in a bunch that Trump is the one doing it

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Yes, I will know a man by his enemies.

This presupposes the US is doing the right think. Nice "logic."

China was incensed last week after the U.S. House of Representatives passed two bills to back protesters in Hong Kong and send a warning to China about human rights

So now the House is pissing off the Chinese as well as Trump. No worries, Biden will smooth things over when he takes office in 2021.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Means we are doing something right if China is mad about it.

Trumpophile "logic" on full display here. If who we oppose are angry, it means we are doing something right. Never mind the infinite other possibilities as to why they may be bad, it has to be that what we are doing is right.

Your statements about WW2 creates a whole new level of stupidity - STUPID SQUARED.

Are you saying the US didn’t arrive late in the fight against one of the 20th century’s most evil and destructive people?

2 ( +5 / -3 )

alaraedokko, stealing ? spying ? freedom of expression ? What can be stole from Japan ? Last year, China has 708,799 industry designs, 20 times more than Japan's 31,468. South Korea has more designs than Japan, at 68,054. Be humble, please. China has more designs than the rest world combined, times 3.

Funny statement that. China spent the past 40 years stealing other peoples tech to catch up and save it from spending money on researching the already developed technologies of others. Now that it has stolen enough to be at the same level it uses its massive surplus to do real research that is actually new. Hardly something to brag about. The thief bragging over their stolen goods. The instability this now causes is as great as the admittedly disruptive Trump administration. Neither the US nor China is blameless when it comes to disrupting the world, they both currently shoulder the majority of blame. Brexit is another cause of disruption.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

and we’re usually the first to arrive

Like the two world wars?

Ouch.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

The U.S. has helped more country in distress than any other country on the planet

The US has used nuclear and chemical weapons on more countries than any other. It has bombed and maimed millions and interfered with democratically elected foreign governments.

and we’re usually the first to arrive

Like the two world wars?

Both the US and China have their moments. Unfortunately, they are not always good moments and do not always benefit the rest of the planet.

Xi and Trump lock up innocent people in camps. They are not helping anyone by these crimes against humanity.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

What Trump is doing is amazing to me

The only ones who think that are either too stupid to understand or too bigoted to care.

China on the other uses the excuse of communism to impose a brutal despotic regime, uses corrupt business practices, undermines democracy around the world.....

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Both countries are a threat to international security. They must be kept in check and those who shill for them.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Pot, Kettle, Black!!

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Nicely & sussinctally put.

There is only 1 common denominator at work here. Comrad trump.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Nobody's perfect, but if China really wanted to demonstrate how peaceful they are they'd open up the S. China Sea to shipping and air transport and stop building a multitude of military bases on disputed island territories of various Asian countries.

Also, take a look at the situation in Hong Kong and the broken promises the Chinese government failed to keep to the UK and the people who live there.

The proof is in the pudding.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

To me this sounds more like a distraction than anything else. China is openly complaining about the US and its degraded trade relationship very loudly to the world. While everyone is looking at the squabble that is playing out publicly China is continuing to build its presence in and around Africa unhindered.

China losses very little in the short term with the reduction in trade with the US. The long game long game China is playing in Africa is worth trillions and will insure Chaina remains dominant on the world stage well into the future.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

As Trump withdraws the US from the world stage, China is stepping in to fill the power vacuum. They have to re-stabilize things.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

And what would Mr. Wang's view of a "stable" world be? In China's view, of course, "stability" would be a world where the Communist Parts calls the shots globally. Shockingly, many other countries may not be OK with that.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

All big powers have a hand in destabilizing the world. That goes for the U.S., Japan, Russia, France, Great Britain, and most DEFINITELY China. They all also engage in protectionism and unilateralism. Think about withdrawing from treaties backed by most of the world, suppressing freedom of speech, propping up or letting their currency fall depending on how it benefits them, backing corrupt regimes, exerting pressure on smaller countries, etc. They are all guilty.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

What Trump is doing is amazing to me.

To you and the rest of the world, cobber.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Basically Japan Korea and Japan all follow the same model; let the West spend billions on the R&D on innovation and game changer technology, then copy/change that technology, then tell their people they invented it.

Im sure there will be a version soon of a quantum computer in Japan, but only after some company in the US has spent millions developing the technology.

The stuff about the US creating instability everywhere, under Trump, is true.

Well for people like you, Trump is the reason the weather is bad, and everything else that is wrong with the world.

What Trump is doing is amazing to me. You see these recent uprisings in Chile and other South American countries. I believe this is long overdue; that is countries holding their corrupt leadership responsible and checking their own polices of sending their citizens across the border to provide nothing of value and congregate in sanctuary cities, inviting more illegals and chain immigration. Instead of continuing this, by any other countries logic, weird policy, we should instead force those countries to hold their leaders responsible.

The same goes for China, Japan and others. They have gotten away with for decades, their manipulation of currency, protecting their own markets while taking over complete sectors of ours. There are no politicians who have stood up to this. Regardless of Trumps misdeeds, he deserves enormous respect for what he is doing.

Given that China's never been involved in any regime change wars, I believe this statement is warranted.

Kyle Bass made an interesting statement about China...something about there are kinetic wars and then there is economic and political warfare. China has been winning the economic war.

Right. Stop ALL spying, stealing of military, economic, scientific, etc. secrets Then I may say the US is a bad boy, destabilizing other nations. In the meantime my loyalties don’t change.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

China needs a reality check. The days of a $500 billion annual trade surplus with the USA are over. China needs to buy more US goods and accept the fact that the US economy and spending power is superior. What would happen to the Chinese economy if the US put tariffs up on Chinese goods to 35-50%? The collapse of its economy, that's what. If you owned a shop, would you insult your best customer?

infiltrating and pushing changes in businesses around the world like Nike, Disney and the NBA,

This is inaccurate. Nike, Disney, and the NBA bow to Chinese pressure; it has zero to do with those companies having been infiltrated by Chinese people. Accuracy is definitely not your strong point.

The stuff about the US creating instability everywhere, under Trump, is true.

The stuff about China being smeared, oppressed etc is garbage.

What a bunch of garbage! China has done way more to destabilize the entire planet, robbing it and many countries of their natural resources, exploiting nations for it, theft of intellectual property, manipulating their currency, abuse, torture and biggest violator of human rights, religious rights, forced abortions, one of the biggest polluters on the planet, infiltrating and pushing changes in businesses around the world like Nike, Disney and the NBA, creating their own buffer and territorial borders...

China not Russia is without a doubt the biggest instability threat to democracy.

-4 ( +7 / -11 )

He's not wrong. The Chinese elite is yet to understand what Japan understood back in the early 1900s, which is that, you are either on the table, or on the menu. Japan understood long time ago that the world is not fair, and that you have to play the game as it is if you want to win, wheres the Chinese government doesn't seem to have any experience in diplomacy and is incredibly naive about how the world works.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Trump further undermining the US empire is creating global instability.

China and its Belt and Road are joining forces with Russia's Eurasian Economic Union filling in spaces being vacated by the US, and creating even more instability in their quest for global control.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

The US has caused more unrest than any country and killed far more than any single country in history.

Me thinks someone knows little about history to make this ignorant observation!

Can't disagree with China there!

Yeah, Just look at Hong Kong!

8 ( +15 / -7 )

CS:

The US is not unstable. We create instability in countries we want to control, burnout country is not unstable. If our country were unstable, we'd have rioting like in HK over Donny's impeachment.

Its one thing to hate my country, it's a completely different thing to lie about it.

he stuff about the US creating instability everywhere, under Trump, is true.

The U.S. was unstable under Obama too. The only difference was Obama was the silent corruptor, Trump is the loud one.
