The Governments China, Russia, US, India, Japan have to be fully on board they are not, or we are all peeing into the wind.

Sorry for the vulgarity, it is however warranted.

There must be a costed action plan.

Nobody gets something for nothing.

An economics plan has be be fully funded not on more debt.

Cleaning up plastic waste didn't make the top 4.

A form of wealth tax could be a way forward but it will need to fully transparent and the funds ring fenced.

I write this and every word sends out a air raid siren.

Taxing can be non starter if not focused on a clear goal.

Government waste tax payer money.

That photo, depiction, make me want to frankly scream.

Beat him senseless with his silly green box.

China in particular has bristled at the idea of having to provide data in formats set by other nations. Brazil and Russia

China, Brazil and Russia, each run by authoritarian regimes in which the leader has shown limited regard for the health of his citizens. And each leader has made it difficult for his citizens to even question him.

How about we start with banning private jets and limousines?

That would upset the 'freedom moaners', especially those claiming it's a 'right' (granted apparently by some putative 'higher power' to flaunt wealth in any way they want.

Maybe stop trying to push the year further and further away might we have some hope.

A young girl can see through this, it’s a PR stunt. If she can see it for what it is, it’s obviously a farce.

I think we all know that the major economies will only start to act seriously when things get worse economically. The only question is, will it be too late? I think that's where we are.

In this way, U.S. and China are kind of like your alcoholic uncles...

"You won't dive a car. You won't go on holiday. Your hose will be cold, your water tepid. Your bills will go up. You'll eat insects, not meat. You won't have as many children as you want.

Suck it up, plebs. we're all in this together. But we blatantly aren't"

4 key objectives, with perhaps the main one being: Keep being our slave masters, sucking our blood and being glorified doing so.

Print money, lower wages, create conflicts between groups.... etc

Sorry for the gloom :-(

General atmosphere has improved ???

What the heck ?

I stopped reading right there.

Bogus !

You'll eat insects

just eat plants for pity sake. Go have a sweet potate instead. Stop doing all the wrong things all the time

lock them in a room with the air coming out. they either come up with a better deal or the all sufforcate. win-win either way. Repeat

The world needs to impose an agreed international carbon tax on the biggest polluters starting at 15% and increasing by 5% every year.. That would immediately make all the unwanted cheap plastic tat produced in China too expensive for most customers and make Australian coal too expensive to. Countries would stop shipping items from half way across the globe and begin producing locally again which would help limit transport pollution.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

China, with more than 10,065 million tons of CO2 released.

United States, with 5,416 million tons of CO2.

India, with 2,654 million tons of CO2.

Russia, with 1,711 million tons of CO2.

Japan, 1,162 million tons of CO2.

Germany, 759 million tons of CO2.

Iran, 720 million tons of CO2.

How many of these countries has the rude and ill-mannered Swedish brat and her ilk protested in?

Kids should listen with their ears and not with their mouths.

How come geologists are not invited to these farce events. With core sampling in the earth and deep ice packs they can prove humans have not created global warming.

How about the leaders at this summit set the example by strictly limiting their use of anything that is made or powered by fossil fuels and downsizing from mansions to minimalist size housing?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

There was an article in the media recently of a preserved fossil found of a 500,000 year old animal where the scientists were studying how "Climate Change" had an impact on how it died. I was shocked!!! Did not know factories and cars and private jets were flying around then!! It's all a crock to get money from us.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

blah, blah, blah and blah...How about doing something real and not just fake talking points?

How about the leaders at this summit set the example by strictly limiting their use of anything that is made or powered by fossil fuels and downsizing from mansions to minimalist size housing?

That’ll be the day.

Hoak! Why can’t you people study?

Earth is a dynamic living organism in all respects. Surface plates move, and it is the way it will be.

Dinosaurs had no factories nor high tech but study core samples from way back and you will find that nature controls the weather and we don’t. It is so simple.

We both feel like people just blab and make things up. We are into science. Get into learning kids

Less consumption and materialism?

That should be our change..,

Global warming and cooling is a natural cycle.

Yes humans contribute to it as ignorant and arrogant so called caretakers of the planet.

The poles are also shifting and the sun is getting larger and closer and with the volcanic and geological movements of plate tectonics.

Humans dependance on aromatic hydrocarbons for existence like fossil fuels and the combustion engines or power plants , medicine's, perfumes and artificial fragrances , fertilizers, and the list is endless.

Its a dumb world we created.

Humans could stop contributing so much to global warming but they are not going to stop it from happening

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Its sad but true when you realize that were all guilty of contributing to global warming by using petroleum based products or derivatives.

Extremely difficult to point the finger judgementaly and not be hypocritical or more accurately physically impossible unless your a native tribe living deep in the Amazon with no contact with the outside world.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

If all of these so called leaders would just hold their breath, CO2 emissions would drop and we the people would be much better off for it, plus they wouldn't be around to bother us any longer.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The biggest challenge is how to hold these climate confabs without fleets of private jets and motorcades of limousines spewing tons and tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
